The question comes up each year and I’m sure the answer for each of us evolves with the passing years. But curious who the fan base feels like which program would be best suited as Rutgers rivalry weekend matchup. I think it’s important we make a push for a consistent matchup every year. So which one would you like to see ?

I'm not sure a rivalry is needed but I like Maryland as the rivalry choice. First of all, it leaves PSU out. So that, right there is reason enough. But, also, it's geographically proximate. We joined at the same time. Our programs are in similar places, success-wise.
Its Maryland by default, if you have to have it

MSU , they would prefer Michigan themselves, I would think
Syracuse would be good if in league, otherwise no

Right now it’s Maryland somewhat by default but also in a lot of ways a natural rival.
- Schools are relatively close which leads to recruiting and neighborhood rivalries.
- similar cultures for the states , schools , etc
- entered big ten the same time
- games have been close over the years.
I think RU-MD should go ahead and make up a fake trophy . Something eastern shore centric like a beach pail or whatever . Make up a story or something about it. It’ll be very big ten like.
