I got the hint from Greg’s comments.

Let’s see what and if happens.

Don’t like that Delaware game one bit. Whoever scheduled that one is a complete moron
Call it the Biden Bowl...maybe he’ll have his pilot fly AF1 around the stadium a few times!

Will Schiano, the king of soft and easy OOC schedules, again weaken Rutgers' OOC schedules?
Schiano's Big East years at Rutgers:
68-67 overall
28-48 against Big East opponents
During his 11 Big East years, of his 40 OOC wins, 30 were against non-BCS teams.
None of GS' OOC wins came against a team ranked in the Top 25.
RU played only 8 BCS opponents some seasons.
Weak OOC scheduling has consistently been a GS strategy.
He cheapens the game experience for his players and RU fans.
What has GS being afraid produced? In 12 seasons (one in B1G) as Rutgers' HC he has only one Top 25 final ranking.

8 straight B1G games without a bye is complete bullsh*t. You don't put a bye after game 4. All byes should be after game 5 or before game 8. Hell even the NFL doesn't have teams play more than 6 games straight. It's moronic B1G leadership which came out with this crap.

As many of us have said a million times, anyone quoting all 11 GS years has an agenda against Greg, since we all know that Greg inherited the weakest 1AA program in history and the worst facilities/support of any team. Take away those first 2 years and he was 65-47 and 28-34 in the BE and his last 7 years, once he had built an actual program and team were 56-33 and 25-24 in the BE and that includes the "lost year" when we went 0-6 after Eric's horrible injury.

Who cares if he does? He’d be smart to. 4 more weeks of practice and can sell the program as a perennial bowl team

Still have 9 tough games in the B1G and for the near term you can probably put us down 3-4 losses before even looking at the schedule.

You do know we play in the B1G, right? Now let's review some of those B1G OCC's in 2019

Wisconsin - USF, Central Michigan, Kent St.

Illinois - Akron, UConn, Eastern Michigan

Minnesota - S. Dakota St., Fresno St., Georgia Southern

Indiana - Ball St., UConn, Eastern Illinois

So what do all these schools have in common @Ascent ? So according to you we should schedule tougher than our conference brethren for what reason exactly?

Now here's one that will sound familiar to our 2021 schedule.

Maryland - Howard, Temple, Syracuse

What was our OOC schedule supposed to be in 2020, before the pandemic? I know Monmouth was on there, right?

Kansas State with Bill Snyder did the same damn thing. Wish we had the ACC schedule. 4 OOC games, One hard game and 3 cupcakes. Go 3-1 every year.

This post is correct BUT Greg SHOULD make the OOC as weak as possible. Both things are true.

Looking at those 15 OOC games I only see one P5 school, Syracuse, who is on our schedule next year.

Not only weaken the OOC
But get the best teams, especially the ones we never
beat to leave the Big 10, yeah that's the ticket. that will get him NFL offers again and instead of leaving within a week before commitment day he could make it one day. Wow sounds like the good old days.
Oh yeah and triple the amount
of the number of bowls again.

Some how I'm getting the sense that this isn't a totally 100% sincere response.

A question for all those who would prefer a strong OOC schedule. Give me an example of an OOC you would like to see us play?
@koleszar gave you examples of OOC schedules some of our B1G 10 brethren play. These schools, as most fans do, know how difficult the conference schedule is so you schedule weaker OOC opponents.
Who historically is the best B1G 10 team? Ohio St.? We are so far below them that we can barely see them with a telescope. Here are their OOC opponents the past three years:

2019 - Florida Atlantic, Cincinnati, Miami (OH)
2018 - Oregon St., TCU., Tulane
2017 - Oklahoma, Army, UNLV
2016 - Bowling Green, Tulsa, Oklahoma
2015 - Virginia Tech, Hawaii, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan

5 years, 16 games, 5 P5 schools.

Their final rankings during this time: #3, #3, #5, #6, #4

Over the next four years we already have at least one OOC P5 school on the schedule. Thats enough.

We’re in the B1G now. The regular season schedule is an absolute bear. The weaker the off-season schedule, the better. Keep up.

Interesting that you use the word AGAIN. This would imply that since he left we have beefed up the OOC schedule and he'll take us back to a weaker one.
In the eight years that GS was gone we played a total of nine games against P5 schools OOC. This included two with Kansas which is probably the worst P5 team in the nation.. Record was 4-5.

Here's a list of our other 17 opponents during those eight years:
Howard (3X), Norfolk St. (2X), E. Mich (2X), Tulane (2X), Morgan St.,Fresno St., Navy, New Mexico, Texas St., Buffalo, Liberty and UMass. If you throw out the MEAC schools we were 8-3.
Thank God GS is here to take us out of that Murderers Row.

B1G sked, a series with someone close by and two low level bought games maybe one being a FCS.

That’s the formula.
