Jesus, how bad is their schedule?this helps explain why the b1g has such a massive boner for a silly 24 team playoff

I don’t think it’s a ranking per se based on how good the opponents are, rather fans overall interest level in the game. Minn and Wash probably project to be better than us but not by enough to make those games more interesting than a local game vs their neighbor. Purdue, NW and Maryland is probably both factors.

) USC on 9/19

2) Indiana on 10/3

3 )Michigan on 10/31

Will be Rutgers most exciting games because they will be an indication if how Rutgers will be all season

If RU wins one of them, hope for remaining schedule.

Win 2 ,joy to the world..

Win all three and no stopping us now!

Lose all three, when time for PSU game comes around the RU fanbase will be in a depressed mode most likely .

the thrill will be gone by the time comes to play the Nits and the game being in Cappy Valley won’t see much reason to entice Rutgers fans to hit the road going to the Beaver

Beating PSU will bring excitement during the game and afterwords , but not going into it

So, that game far down my list of RU games that will excite me ( if my top 3 are loses)

Will be #1 if Rutgers beats 1 of my top 3 and has a chance of having a good season .

I think the BC game will be the most telling to be honest

agree with your view on PSU however, I agree that we will probably have very little excitement

We should have beaten PSU last season and in 2014.
Blew both opportunities badly.

I think PSU has a very good HC but it is year 1. They obviously have more overall talent, but if RU is going to get them, year 1 of a new coaching staff and many new players is the time.

That 2014 game sucked. I was in Fat Tuesday's on South Street in Philadelphia (surrounded by Penn State fans) and thought the game was in the bag...

Good coaching is good coaching, tenure doesn’t matter. PSU had it and does again. RU did not have and still does not.

Did Schiano beat Rhule in his first year ? Lincoln Riley ? DeShaun Foster ? Fickell ? Get it ?
