Wish there was a dislike button. My wife is suffering with flu, it takes awhile to get over it if that is what he has.

It's happened on occasion to the football team - takes a while to get back to 100%.

Suriano wrestles and we win 16-15 or tie 15-15 and IDK who wins criteria.

Stinks to be 2-6 in league, but chance to get wins against Wisconsin and Princeton to wrap up 8-7

Dual season record is of very little importance in college wrestling. No championships are given. It's all about the NCAA tourney, and too a much lesser degree the Big 10 tourney. But duals? just a prep, and a way to sell some tickets to help programs.

Tired of hearing dual/regular season doesn't matter... what if other sports treated this the same way?

Should have, would have, could have. We wrestled just ok. My question is how many kids have been battling the bug as some looked very flush. Disappointed Scotty D did not upset the # 8 in country McGhee. Up 5-3 and lost 9-6. Gross should have beaten that 8-10 kid. We just looked bad on bottom all night. Sota ties up an ankle when we were going to stand up. Got to do better.. They really rode us well.

No other sport minimizes the regular season like college wrestling. Every other college sport hands out a conference title, not for wrestling, heck the big 10 doesn't even have each team wrestle all the other Big 10 teams. Look at 125, a great weigh class in the big 10, almost each of the top 4 guys have missed 2 or more of the conference matches. It means ZIPPO.
I do give credit to Cael Sanderson for sending all his guys out for every match , though.

I agree duals aren't that important. But two guys Delvech and VanBrill blew seeds in this match for the B1G tourney. Not horrible but not great. And Gross is wrestling no where close to where he did at the end of last year losing to an 8-10 kid. On a bright note Grello, he looks to be continuing to improve.

And after hearing Goodale speak I'd have to say Mulligan is done.(as in quit) You don't start a wrestler with one win the rest of the season because he's done good work for you. He didn't even want to say the name Mulligan or even explain why. If Mulligan was truly medically unable to go he would've laid that out. Not kept it a state secret that he's not medically cleared.

Does any wrestler want to win a match at home?

I guess it isn't just me who thinks RU did not come out ready to go today. For the most part it didn't seem the effort was there. Scotty D went down without much fight on senior night. Guys getting taken down with ease. I was disappointed with many of the efforts on the mat tonight.

Gravina lifting his opponent by the arm?
Not sure i have seen that before

And the ref stopped it as Gravina was jacking the kid up and ready to take him down. I get it because of the blood and not much to do about it.

Team was very disappointing tonight. I am afraid of how this team performs next year if we are getting our butts kicked in the B1G this year. I understand about injuries and such but if some of these guys cannot get up for senior night, their last match at home something is wrong. We weren't expecting some of them to beat highly ranked kids, some of the takedowns against them were lazy.

Big win for R Lewis.
Using the Coaches poll, it gives him a #6 seed in the B 10
The same poll has Marinelli at #4 in the B10

That win should make him avoid the Big 2 (VJ and IM) in the quarters.
He still will have a tough match against the #3 seed (Possibly Marinelli).

Big match this weekend with VJ against Marinelli.
I have to root for VJ, but this match might determine who RL gets in Quarter.

I am confused with the spin. Has Mulligan quit the team? If so, why doesn't Goodale just confirm that?

Whoa dude, "get over it", really. I'm not hung up on it, this just confirmed it for me. I don't know you, don't know who you are, your posting history is relatively short and you want me to put my full trust in your perspective? Sorry, if I did that without verification I'd be an idiot. I like to gather as many facts as I can from various sources before I make an informed opinion. We have a lot of wrestling sage's on this board I always take what everyone says with a grain of salt.

He quit the team.
Are you busting my chops or did you reply to the wrong post?:) Because like I said in a previous post Goodale ducking the question and not even talking about Mulligan confirmed for me he's done and quit the team.

Not busting balls. I heard Mulligan is injured. So maybe it’s about money. IDK. I am just told he is done...quit the team. Maybe Goody is just letting it play out. Like hoping Mulligan reconsiders or gets his act focused on wrestling and not outside college interference.

Wrestling is an individual sport, which team wins a dual meet is irrelevant, it is the individual matches that are of significance. Your team could lose every match, but if your #2 ranked wrestler beats their #1 ranked wrestler it was a very successful dual meet and well worth the time and effort to attend. What kills me is when some on this board throw out their chest and act like arrogant pricks when we win a dual meet and then, rightly state, that dual meet wins or losses just don't matter when we lose. Goodale should be judged on the # of AAs and National Champions he produces, not dual meet records or team national rankings.
