I'm not sure. Having each team with a loss isn't bad either.

Nice to control our own destiny either way. Hopefully we can heal quickly. We have some guys out or playing banged up in addition to those already injured.

Nice win guys, now let's take care of Maryland.

I negotiated with my sis to have an Easter brunch, instead of dinner, so the wife, myself and a few friends could make it to campus for the Maryland game.

Also, I have a 10 people so far for the OSU game and a 9am tailgate and post game celebration tailgate. I will get 25 by gameday. Ask your friends and family to go with you to the OSU game. Organize a tailgate. Should be beautiful weather. Tickets are only $10. Support Rutgers Lacrosse!

Remember the OSU game is a White Out for fans too. Just passing on the info if you never saw the marketing.

Can not wait for the OSU game. We have 75 tickets for that day. Should be a good tail gate.

So as RU fans, do we want OSU or Hopkins to win tonight? If OSU wins, it opens the door for RU to win the B1G if we win out. If Hopkins wins, then we have a 1 game lead on both OSU and Michigan in the B1G standings. Could see a valid argument for either side.

Matt, I am not sure, but I think winning the B1G regular season is not more important than 1) getting into the B1G tournament (top 4 out of 6 teams make the conference tournament) and 2) winning the conference tournament, to be B1G champions (please God!).

So I think having OSU lose is better for us to make the tournament. Am I correct in that line of thought?

Yea looking at the schedule/standings, we gotta root for Hopkins here. Regular season champ means nothing and is not really considered the true champion, win that and not the tournament is not something we can even brag about. Versus the alternative, an OSU loss would mean we would only have to beat OSU to get a spot in the B1G tournament.

FWIW the last projections I saw had 5 B1G teams in. We all have very good RPIs.

Pardon my cynicism, but I don't see any way five teams make it. I wouldn't even guarantee four. For RU, go 2-1 in the remaining league games and it's a go. Go 1-2 and they'd need a good B1G tourney. Go 0-3 and, I hate to say it, but they stay home.

I'm definitely in agreement with you there. If Hopkins wins we are in real good shape to clinch a spot in the B1G Playoffs. I believe the B1G is sending 4 to the NCAAs and RU will have a Top 10 RPI on Monday. As RU fans we should want Hopkins to win tonight.

There will be 4 teams from the B1G in the NCAA this year. The current ranking and RPI of each team in the league not named Michigan is too compelling.

Smaller odds but still there- 5 teams.

The league collectively did a tremendous job OOC.

That was the key. Outside of ND owning everyone, all 6 teams held serve OOC, leading to the lofty RPI of everyone not named Michigan.

If only 4 teams make it, there is going to be a team with a great RPI and pretty highly ranked sitting home.

The NCAA needs to expand the field to 20. It's at 17 now...3 more teams won't water it down that much, or at all. Do a play in round on Tues/Weds, then the first round on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

That's not happening. Amazingly, there has been talk of going the other way.

Depends on how they would downsize. Cut down on automatic bids to weaker leagues is something I could live with but not be in favor of. Cut down on the at large bids and my response is "no way in hell".
Agreed on that one...if a team that wins an autobid from like the CAA and has 4 losses and isn't even ranked doesn't deserve a spot over someone like us last year who had 11 wins and went to the B1G Champ game.

OSU vs Hopkins on BTN now. Hopkins up 5-3 after the 1st quarter. A Hopkins win and RU has a 1 game lead on both OSU and Michigan in the B1G.

OSU up 9-7 after 3rd quarter...Hope we get a rematch with Hopkins in the tourney. In normal weather conditions I guarantee we play them far differently the second time.

This league is so good. The only way you win this thing is by winning home games and stealing a couple on the road. Toughest league in lacrosse. Hands down.

Such a grinder I'm not sure there is juice for the NCAA. There is battle tested and then there is beating thesh*t out of each other to the point of pulverization.

Just when you think you have the B1G out, OSU grinds out a win over Hopkins to jumble everything up again. Buckle up boys...gonna be an interesting 3 game season to get to the playoffs. Next weeks matchups are:

RU vs Maryland. Let's hope Albany softens up the Terps a bit for us for Easter night. Want them having some doubt for themselves.
PSU vs Hopkins. I'm hoping Hopkins wins...want to eliminate PSU the week after
OSU vs Michigan. Pretty sure the Buckeyes are eliminating Michigan next week.

Can RU find 2 wins out of the last 3? I think we can...personally would love to end our curse vs Maryland. They are the only team we have never beaten in B1G lacrosse yet.

Would rather see Maryland come in after winning. College kids coming off losses usually have a way of getting their coaches attention and focusing in a way that they can't after wins. Plus a win vs them would make the season...at least until the following week, lol. So fun to be in this conference where every game played for every team means something real. Maryland is clearly the top dog right now. The league will be rooting for us.
