Good win, and I like our perimeter players. However we need much better play inside.

Good win for the women. We've played LSU numerous times over the years, probably more than any other SEC teams aside from Tennessee and, possibly, Georgia. And there have been some memorable games against them, including knocking them out of the #1 ranking at the RAC and, of course, the outstanding rout in the Final Four that had the LSU fans ready to strangle themselves with their Mardi Gras beads, LOL.

This year, RU has certainly played a number of teams from the P5 conferences already, without conference play even beginning - UVa, FSU, LSU, Arkansas, along with two BE teams and Temple from the AAC. It's been a good mix of opponents that will hopefully prepare the team for B1G competition.

Liked what I saw of Sanders and Parker today.
Anyone know what the technical was for?
Nice shot of Essie in the crowd, during one of the timeouts, btw.

I think that Aliyah had excellent hussle today, she was down the court a head of the play a lot of the time as well as being in on rebounds when she was in. While she didn't hit anything today I think she'll be very good in the near future.

The Tech was on the LSU coach for . . . something. No one in my section saw why she got it. I assume she was angry about a no-call on some Rutgers post defense, since there was definitely some contact on the previous play.

Parker is starting to seem really legit. I feel more comfortable with the ball in her hands than with any one else on the team. And she already seems to have some nice chemistry with Sanders. There was a fantastic cut to the basket by Sanders on a Parker baseline drive that was the nicest offensive play I've seen the team make this year.

I've noticed that sometimes a bench T is not really for what just happened but because the ref warned the coach about something earlier and the coach did a (milder version of) it again.

Agreed. The quick Parker and Sanders are ready for primetime the more versatile and strong we become in the backcourt. Sanders can sure get from one end of the court to the other quickly--I see some Tasha in her.
