Even if the Pike program continues on the down trend until the end of the '20-21 season, he will have left the program in a more stable place.
And with better assistants than easy Eddie Jordan had on staff, it will be a lot easier for the
the program to hire/upgrade either Karl Hobbs, or Brandin Knight --if they stick around the next 2 years.

It has been a few decades since the R was recognized in many #HSBB/AAU gyms.
Stay positive; but it will get worse before it gets better !!

“...it will get worse before it gets better”. Not really sure how you can draw that conclusion when you consider that we only lose Doorson after this season. We bring virtually the entire roster back, our freshmen get another year under their belts, and we finally add a true PG to the roster.

If you want to argue that next year won’t live up to our present hopes (i.e. postseason play) that’s one thing, but I struggle to see how we’ll be any worse next season

Any future evaluation of Rutgers must use a comparison with league competition.league rivals have more scoring threats which means Rutgers is facing uphill battles.Until Rutgers has a squad where scoring 70 plus points is the norm the mens basketball program will continue to be a bottom tier league team.Rutgers still doesn't have one consistent go to shooter.Recruiting a front court shooter must be a high priority with the remaining scholarships.
