I'd be concerned about UM's zone defense against us. If it's effective and our perimeter shooting is poor, we will have trouble scoring. Add in the test we will get on the boards and you can see us not cracking the 50 point mark in this game.

Watching the amazing athleticism and talent of MSU's young team tonight at Duke reminds me just how far away from the elite teams we are here at RU as far as talent goes.

I like what I've seen from us. Schedule be damned. I think we've led by 19 in the 2nd half of every game except Hartford.

I think everyone on this roster is better at the end of the season. Sa, Umeyori and Corey are my bets for biggest improvements from here out. Maybe Laurent too. Cant be better than Nigel, Mike and Gettys have been. Have to be a fan of Thiam. And Pikiell gets everything possible out of Freeman.

We're pretty good. And really well coached.

If I am Miami why would I want to put the game in the hands of Rutgers perimeter shooters. I'd rather put the game in my own teams ability to defend in man and more importantly rebound out of it.

We haven't shot it well, but are totally capable of a 11-24 type of day.

Of our guards and wings only Corey isn't a legitimate threat to take and make 3s.

While Sanders has taken just 11 3's this season, so far, in 6 games, and has hit just 1 of those, he did shoot 31% from 3 last year. Not great, but not awful, either. My point is, that if Sanders has an open 3, he should be considered a threat to take it, and make it. Though clearly, he is being encouraged NOT to settle for the 3.

I get your general point, but Sanders could be a 3-point threat if not defended well.

This is a team that just beat Hartford at home by 2 and has DePaul as it's best win. I would consider Miami to be a 2/3 nit seed with potential for the NCAA if they hit their stride. I expect ru to cover but not my much.

Well so far this was a spot-on analysis on the first ten minutes of the game. We'll crack the 50-point mark and can win due to adjustments (Sa is making a big difference down low). But inside we are shooting poorly. If Freeman shakes off the jitters and becomes a half-presence inside 12 feet, that will help. Also like to see Thiam have his feet set for the ball and shoot some threes.

Jelly...problem is he needs to shoot off the dribble. He does not catch and shoot.

Sanders is-at best-an average outside shooter. May be how we got him. Going to the basket, he's very good and quick as lightning.
