Rutgers opened as 2 point favorites, but most money has been coming in on Penn State. Penn State is now 1.5 point favorites.

It is time for the crowd to get behind RU(I truly expect the atmosphere to be off the charts) and for us to pull out a BIG victory.

Best of Luck,
Groz

I like that the line is moving the other way, means vegas thinks we should win and the public doesn't. Public doesn't know squat about Rutgers basketball or Rutgers athletics in general, they see the number next to penn state and bet them. Pack the Rac.

The public doesn’t move lines.

People that do this for a living move the lines. The “public” doesn’t these days. Square $ can pile up on one side and it won’t really matter.
Sharps move lines but if the public is too heavy one side that will move the line too.

Relatively true for a high volume game (there is just too much square $on the Super Bowl, World Cup games, etc), though the major books still don’t care too much. But that definitely wouldn’t come into play for a Tuesday night PSU-Rutgers game, as there is way too much sharp $ out there that would jump on the bad line.

Should be a good game. These are two good teams. Games like this are must win for the home team. LGRU!

Ok dude. Everyone believes you know a lot about betting. You're cool.

I was surprised we opened as a favorite sans Geo. I think I've been more bullish on this RU team from the start than most, but I think we may be underestimating how impactful losing Geo is beyond @Nebraska. I think we can still win this game and others, but the task is much more difficult without Baker.
