1. Salem- Eckstein,Bain,Brittain,and Shelor... enough said!
2. Cave Spring- they are going to be good, Lav,Gray,and MD along with whoever steps into the rest of the spots will be really good.
3. Blacksburg- they are going to be battling CS all year but in the end they wont hold off the knights!

I think you hit it right on. Salem just has too much depth but if u see CS beating BB don't be suprised. CS will most liking be starting 3 seniors and 3 very talented freshmen this year (Wilkes, Harman, Kasza)

Salem should be contending for the state title with the top 4 back and 5 of the top 6. Only question is who will step up for the 5 and 6 spot. Right now the leading contenders would be Smeltzer and Peery. Gardner, Stump, and McCart all have a pretty good chance of playing also. After finishing fifth, second, and second in states the last three years, Salem is more hungry than ever. Anyone else know who is good around the state.

I agree it will be a dogfight with CS and BBurg, but I wouldn't count them out yet. They both have a solid top 3-4, so it will depend on the 5-6. They could end up being like Salem last year, who for a majority of the time had 3-4 good scores and 2-3 decent scores. If one of Salem's top four had a bad round, the 5-6 scores were enough to get them by and not kill them. Basically, Salem worked well as a team, and never had to count anything that would be devastating. Both CS and BBurg have good, young talent from last year, plus more coming up.

Take into account that Salem got 2nd to a great Magna Vista team...and Magna Vista lost it's top 4 this year so Salem has a great shot at winning it

B'burg has two future stars in the Monday brothers, but will one of them be in high school next year? Whenever they do get out of middle school, they should compete with Courtney Ellenbogen for the No. 1 seed.

yea they are good, i think Jake is going to be a freshman but i don't know about the other one, either way Courtney or him being #1&2 will be strong; maybe contending for the strongest 1&2 man in the rrd but do they have depth?

Anyone have any info on Ryan Davis? I think he would go to Glenvar, but there have always been rumors of him transferring to BBurg. He would be a huge help to the Bruins, giving them a little more depth and consistency.
