Here is how I think our roster shakes out for next year. This would be an exciting group for sure! The first chip we need to fall is Juzang - shooters are critical and he helps create space for our wings.
PG: Ashton Hagans, Tyrese Maxey
SG: Johnny Juzang, Immanuel Quickley
SF: Khalil Whitney, Keion Brooks (Dontae Allen I think redshirts)
PF: Nick Sestina, Jaden McDaniels (Keion can play the 4 as well in certain lineups)
C: Nick Richards
That is 9 players, all very capable. An extremely athletic group with Whitney, Brooks and McDaniels on the wings. Strong shooting with Maxey, Quickley, Juzang and Sestina. We don't have as many true centers as years past but Richards and Sestina can both play the position and our wings will be able to control the boards along with them.
I do think EJ goes in the draft, I would love to have him back but he is oozing with talent and upside, which is what the scouts love. Blackshear would be unreal, but if we get McDaniels - even though they don't play the same spots, I think it will be tough to add him as well.
As one poster mentioned - add 2 of Juzang, McDaniels, Hampton and Blackshear and I think we will all be doing backflips!
