I wonder if the OSU DC has been fired yet.
He's leaving for Memphis. They hired that DC from Okie State - who was a finalist for National Assistant Coach of the year. They're paying him $1.9 million as every school was after him. Expect OSU to part ways with a couple of more defensive assistants. If they get that crappy defense figured out next year, they'll be absolutely lethal.

I'd take the two kids playing today over the two kids sitting out any day of the week. They are better players.
They might be... but the two who sat out are going to make a pile of money in the nfl. Whether or not the two kids today are better is irrelevant.

I wonder how much money the two Ohio State wide receivers cost themselves today by sitting out the bowl game. Not only did they screw themselves out of what surely would have been monster statistical games, but their backup underclassmen came in and made them look irrelevant. It makes you question just how good they were in the first place.
Smith-Ngiba is no backup. Hrs a starter and was the team's leading receiver this season.

Even top teams with a dedication to defense like Ohio State have to be able to put up points to win.

Yup. And perhaps you've heard of that freshman WRs father before?
Harrison will be a star next year and keep an eye on Julian Fleming and Egbuka - if Fleming can stay healthy. Fleming was the top national receiver in the 2020 class as was Egbuka in last year's 2021 class

Are you on drugs?? You believe RU could stay on the field with Utah?
The Utes have speed …more speed than we do all around. The kid that ran it all the way back was a blazer. He’s married , 24 and not more than 170 lbs. he could return for a 7 th year but is looking to play at the next level. At one point in time we had good to very good speed under Schiano. I trust he can get us back to those times.Right now it wouldn’t be close.

That's less about their irrelevance and more about Ohio State's depth at that position.

Performance in one game isn’t making or breaking anyone’s NFL aspirations. It’s a college career that’s examined not a single game.
