what is out of touch is disney charging $400 a night for that crap bag room.

This. This. This. Rondo was probably joking but that room IS closer to a nice Motel 6 than it is to what you SHOULD get for $400. I have stayed in 5 star hotels in Hong Kong that (would have) cost much less than $400 if I paid (used points), and that photo is the type of hotel room you can easily get in almost any city in the world for $100 or less.

I've stayed at a Motel 6 and they are trash. You're full of it.

And the proof is that Rondo deleted his tweet. He knows.

You should try one that doesn’t rent by the hour.

I’ve stayed at pretty trashy Disney properties too. I think we know who is full of it.

Just curious, who’s your grudge against? Rondo? Disney? Both?

Disney milks the NBA like a Trump property with secret service agents.

He's an *** for not liking his hotel room? Welcome to 2020 where that makes you an *** and outrages the masses.

I still have absolutely no idea why a guy who takes a picture and posts it ON HIS OWN SOCIAL MEDIA saying his hotel room kinda sucks is like him punching a baby in the face. It’s not like he was talking about it on a postgame interview. Just goes to show how the most minor little thing can turn into some sort of public outrage these days. If only everyone could be a robot.

I think there’s some real estate between “omg he may as well have murdered a baby” and “I agree with him!”

Just shows he’s kind of an out of touch dickhead, no big deal.

There's a special place in hell for guys who complain about their hotel room. Welcome to the Outrage Olympics.

I don't always agree with Jay but he's spot on. I knew these guys were disconnected with the average person, but I had no idea exactly how bad.
It hurt my feelings when Rondo complained about the hotel room he has to stay in for months because the hotel room is acceptable to my personal standards. Soft *** crybaby generation.

It didn't hurt my feelings I don't care. Like Jay said it's tone deaf. It's also a great illustration of exactly how disconnected they are from their average fan

Its shows how dudes are controlled by their emotions now. People really got into their feelings about a guy complaining about a hotel room he is forced to live for months on his own instagram. Outrage culture is at an all time high.

Can’t argue with anything he said .

My main take about all of this is I’m sure everyone has complained about something that someone else may look at as stupid to complain about . I guess it looks worse when millionaires do it .

Nope. He chose. Not forced.

A middle class family has to save all year to afford the same. And they don't get paid millions while there.

I'm not outraged. Far from it. I'm pointing out a raging hypocrisy, major social disconnect, and complete lack of humility. It isn't just him. There are several others posting the same.
Why do you you keep bringing up a middle class family? Theres a family in some 3rd word country that will never experience the things middle class families experience, that doesn't disallow them from complaining about things that don't please them.

What does any of that have to with how Rondo feels about the room he is forced to live in for months if he wants to play? There's nothing hypocritical about not liking a hotel room.

I don’t see how you can disagree with Jay. There’s a lot of people who won’t watch sports because “they’re overpaid” or “make too much money cause they can shoot a basketball”..athletes being tone deaf right now may push more to that side
Communist don't like basketball anyway.

Non sequitur

And he isn't forced to do anything. He could've opted out

I don’t know who that guy is or why I would care about his opinion on anything.

That hotel room is crap. Who would want to stay at a Disney resort? I mean really? Without their kids too... man please.

It's true what Rondo is saying. The rooms aren't that nice at all for the price, but Disney can demand that price because of its proximity inside the park and it is a huge convenience.

I just occurs to me how amazingly bored most of us all must be. A three page thread over Rondo and Disney hotels?
