He needs 29 assists to pass Jordan for #10 all time playoff assist leaders. I'm hoping for a deep playoff run for LA.
Love the story about when he threw a water bottle and broke a big screen TV during the playoffs and Garnett had to drag him away. Love watching him play.
I say no. But I'm a Mavs fan and can never forgive him for not only quitting but purposely screwing up during a playoff game.

IMO not even close. He's a poor shooter which will hurt him. Writers don't like him. He's been good for a pretty long time but I don't think at any time was he considered the best PG in the game and probably not even top 3 while he's played. Had a very good career but there are a lot of players in the Hall of Very Good. I think Rondo is one of those. Would be very surprised if he was ever inducted.
hof or any of that type discussion is to me about what you did on the court. what’s going for him is he could’ve been the most dominant pg in the league for a stretch. he also has a long list of playoff highlights. some of them all-time highlights, like for instance the play against the magic or the fakes against lebron, or his beating the heat almost by himself. lebron obviously thinks he’s great.
even people that don’t respect him still respect his game. he’s an unorthodox player who is an all-time distributor on and off the dribble. just in terms of difficulty and timing he’s one of the greatest. he is to me the best delayed break passer ever.
he may not have the numbers for hof but he was a staple in the playoffs for about 15 straight years, playing at a high level. if he had scoring seasons like let’s say a dennis johnson, or more rings, i’d think he’d get in years down the road.

If the Celtics had won that game 7 in either 09 or 10 against LA, this wouldnt even be a debate. Averaged a triple double or close to it and would've no doubt won finals MVP. Thats how close it is for some of these fringe guys.
Not quite there yet. Impressive stats for sure. But we are talking about the Hall of "FAME." Could he get there...absolutely.
