I'm not sure what is up with him not playing much, but I noticed at the end of the game Frost was tapping guys on the head to congratulate them and he totally skipped over Thompkins. Perhaps he didn't seem him, but it looked odd considering he was next in line in players Frost was congratulating. For those with the game on DVR go to the part where we are doing the victory formation and you should check out the body language of Thompkins, something seems off.
Could be nothing, but considering a walkon played in front of him makes me wonder what is up.

Was odd that he made the trip and didn’t get a carry in the game..Not sure how good of a blocker he is in the backfield he hasn’t had a whole lot of snaps this fall...

Well, he was injured the last few games right? Wonder if they were playing it safe with him. They hadnt even planned to suit up Marvin Scott. Wonder if he was an emergency type situation.

I wasn't aware of that, but that could certainly be the case. I recall reading rumors of him considering transferring and certainly don't want to read too much into one clip, but it just didn't look right.

Going to guess they are closely monitoring his snaps due to those previous knee surgeries he’s had. In addition, if he would wreck a knee again playing meaningless minutes on Purdue’s field we’d be screaming at HCSF for demonstrating poor judgment.

He’s been injured, so my guess is like @JaySker402 that he probably traveled as emergency backup. They didn’t even know if Mills could play until pregame warmups is what Frost said I think.
