I know this is the football board but the basketball program is rising from the dead and has actually been fun to watch this year.

Friday is the last OOC game vs. in state rival Seton Hall and will be their toughest test to date. RU is not tourney bound and the NIT is still gonna be a tough feat (but not improbable) but this team has shown it's going to play defense, rebound and play hard until the final whistle.

Would be nice to have a good showing and make some noise Friday especially since SHU students will be on break.

Tickets in section 6 (behind Rutgers bench) were available for $33 each through SHU as late as 5pm today for anyone who's interested in catching a meaningful Rutgers basketball game!

Who's in?

Just out of curiousity, is SHU expected to be better than Miami?

I think they're pretty comparable in terms of how good they are...both around the 30-40 range at this point.

SHU has a couple weapons that Rutgers will have to keep in check in Carrington (19ppg) and Delgado (averaged a double double) and I would expect this to be a more intense game than Miami since it's an in state rival.

SHU vs RU hoops games used to be the best. I hope we have a great loud turnout Friday. I am trying to make it. Basketball team has shown great improvement and deserve support.

Hate to say it, but SH is much better than RU on the court, they're a legit Big East team and a contender.
We'll see..

We know, Rutgers will be huge underdogs in this game. But, when was the last time that both teams had good records going in?

Also Monmouth vs Princeton is tonight. That game is getting a lot of buzz as well.

Good news for New Jersey D1 Baskeball.

Through SHU ticket office. You may have to try a couple times to get someone to answer or leave a message and they'll call you back.

Cheapest through ticket master are $34 with a $10 fee per ticket. No fee through SHU.

I agree but with rivalries you never know. They'll definitely be double digit underdogs for this one

+2 in section 4

FYI there are only about 100 tickets left on ticketmaster and less than 200 on stubhub.

Lower level almost sold out. They may have to open the 2nd level

They won't lift the curtain and open the 2nd level.
They only do so when the lower level sells out well in advance (Ex: Feb game vs Nova).

Though, the suites and Goal Bar seats that are in the 2nd level should be open as usual.

It remains to be seen if the SHU student sections will be packed since school is on break.
It's possible that all sections will be quite full with the exception of Sections 2 & 3.
