Now you sound like an Ole Miss fan...

The Heisman is reserved for the most outstanding player on a top 8-10 team. Not knowing that and publicly campaigning is akin to bitching about student loans being a burden when you decided to go to a small private liberal arts college to get a degree in pottery.

That and the QB from UVA is well ahead of WR in nearly every category. Let's not be douches about our QB's good season like others.

If we had not lost to Memphis, we’d be in the top 15 and Rogers would be battling Young and Corral for all conference honors. A notch below Young at the moment mind you, but I foresee some big numbers coming down this home stretch.

Anyone disagree?

We would not be in the Top 15 at 6-2 with a loss to LSU at home. For reference, Ole Miss is currently 15th with both of their losses being on the road to Top 12 teams. Auburn is 12th with a home loss to #1 UGA and a road loss to #22 Penn State.

As for the original post, I read it as being rife with sarcasm and I can’t believe anyone is giving a serious reply to it.

I ran across an MSU tidbit the other day... it could never happen again but in 1968 Tommy Pharr made AP first team all SEC QB . Our record was 0-8-2 and we scored over 20 pts in one game that season.

Especially with a stick in their ***. We would definitely be ranked and if we beat Arkansas we will be in the top 25. We have beat 3 ranked teams. Its a shame we let those 2 crappy teams beat us.

Touche'. I hate when idiots need a sarcasterisk to see the joke. Guilty as charged.

Now if any of you bootlickers try to start the Heisman talk for real, you're dipshits. Nothing reeks of desperation like a false flag Heisman campaign. I think at this point we have a better shot of making the playoffs than WR has of winning the Heisman.

1. Well, for starters, with 3 losses already and we haven't even played a game in November yet, it won't happen.
2. Currently 50th in scoring, that doesn't excite voters
3. Currently 130th (that's DEAD LAST) in yards per completions. Translated, short little dump completions don't excite any voters
4. Currently 47th in Red Zone offense
5. Currently 51st in Team Passing Efficiency
6. Currently 46th in Total Offense
7. Currently 59th in Turnover Margin

That's "why not"..............

But couldn’t the reverse be argued in that State has 3 solid wins against Top 25 caliber talent while OM has none?

I actually am expecting a Heisman campaign in the next year or two unless our record just makes it a joke or unless Will gets injured.

But for reference, Gardner Minshew finished 5th in voting and wasn't invited to the ceremony after leading WSU to a 10-2 record. No matter how gaudy the stats, I think they are going to be discounted enough by voters to make it impossible for a leach QB to actually have a shot at winning.

Real talk. What's the ranking a team needs to have a Heisman winner?

Looking back at the past 25 years, the Heisman winner has come from a top 5 team with the following exceptions:

Louisville was 9-3 and No. 15 when Lamar Jackson won it in 2016
A&M was 10-2 and No. 10 when Manziel's dumb *** won it in 2012.
Baylor was 9-3 and No. 15 when RG3 won it in 2011.
Florida was 9-4 and No. 9 when Tebow won it in 2007.
Texas was 8-3 and No. 20 when Ricky Williams won it in 1998.

Also, if any of you have ESPN+, Eli's Places is worth watching. It focuses specifically on college football.

The second episode is about the Heisman trophy and the 'campaign' surrounding each winner.

This is quite the 180 from your attitude the last few weeks.

Da 17? Next week y'all be ready to cut Rogers if we lose. Bi-polar mofos. Of course, he's kinda played bi-polar this year.
