Does not surprise me. After the pathetic Minnesota game where we got pushed all over the field all game long he probably started to look else where. Right now recruiting does not look good.

Bet the Minnesota game did not help
He was at the Ohio St game I believe. If he was concerned about blowouts he wouldn't have committed. From the sounds of it he wanted Miss St. They didn't have room for him so he committed here, apparently they lost one of their commits so now they have room. I don't think it is anything more or less than that.

Nebraska talking with priority linebacker Chóe Bryant Strother tonight

I immediately like his film better. Strikes blockers, fires his hands, gets free, and really brings his arms when he tackles. This kid looks more like Jackson Hannah.

Needs to cut the anchor loose and sprint to the ball with a little more speed and explosion sometimes but I like the way he plays under control and holds his discipline on backside responsibility.

Get him on a stretching program to loosen up his hips and legs a bit and get him a little coaching on how to accelerate more explosively and that would pair really nicely with his LB instincts.

I think some of the "slowness" may be that it's junior film and he isn't always fully trusting his eyes or he's just really worried about getting got on backside cuts. Probably has spill responsibility on just about everything so his job is "don't let it get behind you."

Best of luck to Rodney.

As for Nebraska, please, please, please get some good, talented linebackers in this class. Honestly feel like the linebackers are the weakest part of the defense by a pretty large margin.

I'm much more worried about OLB than I am ILB. I like Gunnerson a lot.

Next year Honas is back, then they'll have Hannah and Henrich ready to play. They also seem to feel that the walk-on slot machine paid out with Luke Reimer at ILB. You can have 4 guys you feel good about.

At OLB I don't know
