Never been a fan of A A Ron. Guess now I don't have to watch him and his dumb facial expressions every week now.

Thanks. But that's what happens when a team neglects the offensive line for too long.
Sure looked that way. He was under pressure on all 3 pass plays. Joe Burrow is another whose O line is garbage. You spend all that money on a QB and don't protect them. Stupid.

Well that fvcking sucks.

...I can just imagine the back peddling now happening......."Ummm, Zach, we always loved you, it wasn't you, it was us ... you gotta believe me, we always believed in you"
The sad thing is the Jets are loaded almost everywhere. Best D line in football. Great young D. Stud WR. Good RBs. Good coach. Just a bad O line that cost them their season. Have to protect the star QB boys.

Not a Jets fan so didn't follow all their moves last off season but I thought they addressed their line? Maybe I have em confused with the Bengals.

I think you are confusing them. All offseason they talked about the tackles being garbage. Although, on this particular play, it wasn't a blown block. Aaron was supposed to get rid of it immediately and he hung on and tried scrambling instead.

It seems most coaches never learn. At least now we only have to give up a second rounder to Green Bay. Maybe Joe Alt of Notre Dame. Maybe they take a guard and kick out Vera-Tucker to tackle.

I think he'll try to come back given his contract calls for $75 million in fully guaranteed money through 2024. Had minor Achilles surgery a decade ago as a part of my reconstructive ankle surgery. It took a while to get better but the longest and most painful was all related to the Achilles. Everywhere else on my foot/ankle, I was good but my Achilles always hurt, was sore or cramping up regardless of rest and rehab. Took 2 years before it was pain free but I still get calf strains all the time without doing anything really strenuous. Something as simple as taking my 11 lbs dog out for a walk can give me a calf strain if I step wrong. Can't even imagine playing football after a ruptured Achilles, yuck.

Official. That sucks. Could be a career ender.

I feel so bad about this. Yesterday I told a coworker jokingly "I wish the Bills would just Joe Theismann his ***". Now I feel horrible that I even said anything. I was clearly joking around. I apologize for my bad voodoo on AR.

Curious how this plays out. Rogers could announce retirement and voluntarily redo his contract and return all the $$$ in some pro rated fashion. Say...98% of it cause he did go thru mini camp...etc. I could see him doing that, if it is legal?? ...and I don't know if it is and by that I mean if he did, do the Jets get that cap money back??

I would do a 180 on my opinion of him if he did that. I'm curious to watch how this unfolds.

him missing the season already downgrades his cost to acquire from a 1st rounder to a 2nd rounder

sorry, packers fans

4th play for nyj
I am not a usual critic of the media. But I have not heard a single football analyst mention that the Jets have a new offensive coordinator\QB coach who has been successful. Nathaniel Hackett may yet make a difference for Zach Wilson. The sports media needs to wake up.

I have actually heard a lot about Hackett with his past coaching relationships with Rodgers. For Jets fan sake. They better hope it wasn't Rodgers that made Hackett a known commodity. He was horrible in Denver. I know a different circumstance being the head coach. But still.

Hackett is garbage and I'm not sure he does much coaching. watch Hard Knocks and he spends most his time quoting Austin Powers and reciting reddit-tier humor.

offense has a bad series in practice. Rodgers curses up a storm, takes a moment to reflect, then proceeds to coach the WR's and tell them how they're actually going to design the play differently before relaying to Hackett how his original play design sucks.

Rodgers is not good because of what Hackett does, he's good because of what Hackett doesn't do. He's essentially Rodgers' drinking buddy that doesn't get in his way. Both of Hackett's last two jobs have essentially been "convince AR to come here" bait.

I admit I don't know Hackett. I'll give the benefit of the doubt. My point was that the media didn't even mention the Jets had a new o-coordinator. Maybe Rodgers himself will be a good mentor for Wilson.

Maybe Rodgers will rub some stem cells on it and magic mushroom dust. Get him back in two weeks.
