Yes, written by Felice & Boudleaux Bryant at the Gatlinburg Inn in Gatlinburg of course. They also opened a hotel in Gatlinburg called Rocky Top Inn. I always yell at the radio when I hear someone say it was written by a Kentuckian.

On a side note, I do like a cover of one of their song, "Love Hurts" by Nazareth, a hit in 1975.

Not that much more than ky. Trust me I've lived in both states over the years and it is much cheaper to live in Tennessee.
In Tennessee when you buy a vehicle it's a one time tax in ky it's every year like you just bought a vehicle. Go from hopkinsville to Clarksville and you can clearly see the state line as their are tons of mcmansions on the tn side and not a dang thing on the ky side.
