Based on history he will face much tougher defenses in the Big 10. The Big 12 has been a poor defensive conference for years. This year OSU, Indy, and Oregon, and Iowa , had top 10 and even top 5 defenses or close to it and Penn ST and Mich are known for tough defenses as was wisky and MSU.

PSU may have the weakest P4 schedule in the nation in 2026.
It is really hard to find more than 1-2 potential losses on there.

He just had surgery, so he meets our criteria.
He had a lot of hype coming into this season for sure. I was unknown in 2023 and had a very good year and repeated that last year. He was a main reason ISU was ranked early this season.
He or at least their offense wasnt at great this year. Last year they pulled a few rabbits our their hats to win 3 -4 games late. That is hard to do every year (just ask the Chiefs)
Maybe competes for one of the weakest P2 schedules, but it will be a lot tougher than most big 12 and ACC schools.
I would think he could get half a Mill or $1 million for one year somewhere. PSU has the money and so does MSU now and other teams with deep pocket donors

I think that Campbell might be foolish to bring in Rocco. There is enough pressure as it is. Bringing in your boy and losing a game orc2 you shouldn’t won’t go well with the locals. More risk vs reward in a move like that.
Wow. That's an amazingly weak schedule. Campbell gets a honeymoon season. He'll think he's still in the Whatever League ISU is in.
He’s going to get a lot more than that. Even though he’s from isu guy hate to admit it he was very successful. He’s a 3 year starter from a P4 school who put up good numbers. With his resume he’s going to get paid well where ever he goes to and if not psu he will have a lot of schools after him.
It’s invaluable to bring in a multi-year starting qb that knows your system in year one. The big problem Iowa has had is qb’s that have missed spring ball a retarding progress.
It would be better to rehab at UHIC then at the vet school in Ames.
