At one point there was some RST / Starkville rumors. Anyone heard anything lately?

It looks like a nice development but personally, I'm ambivalent about Ed's. It's overpriced for a burger and the majority-outside seating gets uncomfortable 4-5 months per year. It is neat how they turned an old branch bank-turned Japanese hibachi place into a burger joint and the kids seem to love it.

RSJ's best Hattiesburg place currently is the Midtowner, located where Elam Arms once stood across Hardy from USM. Good diner breakfast and meat/three lunch choices, and on Friday and Saturday nights, they open up for fried fish and the trimmings. It has a ton of Hattiesburg/USM historical pictures all over the place. Ol' #4 takes his breakfast there quite often.

I've been meaning to eat at the Midtowner but haven't yet.

My feelings about Ed's are also mixed and it'll be just up the street from Roosters and Fine & Dandy is at Eastover.

I've also halfway expected him to open a pizza place sometime.

I think Bulldog Burger nixed the idea of an Ed's in Starkville. I think he is trying to find the right fit/niche in the right location.

I will & Mercury Pizza (food truck and location on 98 West) is outstanding.

St. John just loves Italy so much with his tours he does with Wyatt Waters that it's gotten to the point I expect him to open a pizza place.

the Jackson area needs better pizza. Not a fan of soul shine or lost pizza company. Pizza shak and Sal and Mookies are decent, but i have had much better along the coast. Jackson needs a really good new york style pizza shop.

I prefer the calzones at Sal & Mookie's. Bravo has better pizza & I also like The Bank in Clinton.

TriBecca Allie in Sardis might be the best pizza place in the state.

Mimmo's in Laurel is also good & I'd like to try out their place in Quitman sometime.

I really want to go to Cottonwood in Vicksburg. I'm surprised I've not been there yet-- it's been on my list.

Not a fan of Dave's (especially the thick), Lost Pizza (doesn't do pesto sauce), or Stromboli's pizza in Starkville. I'm a Soulshine fan, wish Brother would open one in Starkville

In the not a pizza snob corner, I'm a huge fan of Little Caesar's Extra Most Bestest Pepperoni for $6 + tax.

Jus sayin.

Cottonwood is good but the pizza options are kind of limited. Brew is good. The hours were kind of weird when it first started so I didn’t go there as much.

I’ll have to try the bank some time. I’ll also have to try some of the others. Uncle Joes in Pass Christian has to be my favorite in the state. You are also right about bravo having good pizza. I used to say I didn’t like pizza but come to discover I just like good pizza. We will order Pizza Hut or papa johns for cheaper factor but I would almost rather make it myself. My bbq chicken pizza is the bomb.

Mimmo’s is a good Italian place (not just pizza). Last time I ate there I had some really nice lasagna.

I don’t travel to the coast much but I’ll try out that place if I’m around there when they’re open.

I love brewpub/pizza places. There’s a place I love going to when I’m visiting relatives in Indiana— nice pizza & they brew great beer. When I was up there this past Thanksgiving, I was hoping they would bring back a really nice Russian Imperial Stout. But not there— I guess it wasn’t a good enough seller to be worthy of a seasonal rotation spot.
