We had a first down on the 3. That still bothers me that our QB ran 4 times and Martin never even touched the ball once. I cannot believe that after how well he has been running. That was a complete joke.

Some of that is on Oden. He should have let Martin keep it at least once.

And that is with defenses keying on our RBs.

Yeah....also give some credit to the offensive line.
Martin is a quality back. Imagine what he could do if we had a qb and receivers who made the D play the whole field.

It doesn't? How does it work? What exactly does the read stand for then?

Ive seen you post. You know football. And you should know I know football. I was telling the poster that the QB doesnt "let" the RB "keep it once" like they take turns. Obviously the QB is reading someone (a diff key depending on what offensive play is called) and will keep it or give it depending on the actions of the defender. If the poster meant that he had reviewed the game and could tell who the QB was reading and that the QB made a bad read thats one thing. To say he "should have let him keep it once" is just not how it works.

Thanks for the quiz though. Im glad I passed it :)

I know you know football and that's why I was perplexed. Maybe after all the complaining about play calling I am jaded. I read your post as if he didn't let him keep the ball as if it wasn't an option for him. QB's made the right reads......OC said as much in the presser. You not o key passed you tested out.

When I see a team and backs rushing well I check for crummy passing game that forces more running (like Army etc). RU is currently 111th in nation in passing. But since I can recall when RU couldn't run or pass (2010) being lopsided is ok for awhile.
