If it's on film and wlos shows it and says it was wrong call and it was obvious and it happened multiple times in the game and it cost Robbinsville a trip to state then your probably right.

Bk I know it’s probably been discussed but why is Williams not playing? I know he’s an insane wrestler but he was a pretty dang good running back and was a load to bring down

Pop out again at Holy Angels wrestling championship match. He had to forfeited.
Pop out again in off season. I don't expect him to play again ever but he is competitive so who knows. He should be ready for wrestling season. Shoulder

Man I’m an old Bulldog but I sure do hate hear that. Williams has a pretty good wrestling future ahead of him so I can see not wanting to risk anything.
In 2003, Asheville high was 13-0 and ranked the number 1 team in 3A nearly all year. In the pregame warmups it started to snow. We wanted it cold and snowy playing a team from Belmont in the 4th round for a chance to play in the state championship because we were mountain boys and loved the ground and pound. We embraced the cold cause we were used to it

That south point team was amazing. They whipped us the week before in 3rd round 69 to 21. My last high school play of my career was blocking there extra point. They weren't getting 70....69 was enough lol. I hate we didn't get to play yall....think it would have been a good game. Yall beat K-town by 1 point in 3rd round....and they beat us in overtime regular season for the bell 13 to 12 bc our kicker couldn't make an extra point. Should have won 7(touchdown) to 6(2 long fieldgoals)in regulation but kicker shanked extra point. Then missed another one in overtime that would have sent it to double ot. Should of gone for 2 but oh well.
You have a good memory. Truth be told, we were lucky to lose 57-10. I do think it would have been different against that south point team in 03 if we were on a dry field and at 100 percent. Very unlikely we would have won, but that game kind of spiraled on us and there was certainly a give up factor on our part. They had an incredible team. In the first quarter SP scored on a dump pass down the seam and you couldn’t see the 3,000 fans on the visitor side because it was snowing so hard. You could hear them though lol.
8 months later we hosted Franklin at home in hurricane Ivan. That game was called at halftime because there were severe mudslides in Macon county and they were worried about getting home. Blizzard like conditions with whiteouts and a literal hurricane within 8 months of each other

I would go as far to say if the kid was never playing again he would not still be going to all the practices and games traveling with the team

It was a good measuring stick game. If you’re a Robbinsville fan, you have be optimistic about this year.
We wouldn't be a push over. Our passing looked good considering it was Asheville. Minus the 2 picks. We'll be able to move the ball through the air as the season goes on. That will be the best pass coverage we see in the regular season
Great game. I hope for both of our sakes Robbinsville wins the state championship and is as quality of a team as I think they are. I expected more from us, but a win is a win I suppose. And our crowd was nothing short of pathetic. Even for us.
Congrats to you guys. Robbinsville will be hard to stop the rest of the way. We should have won that game. Seemed like our inexperience showed just a tad too much. Asheville has a good squad and Robbinsville is a quality opponent.
They may have had more fans than Asheville last night. Great fan base and solid team. R'ville is going to win a lot of games this year IMO
Yes I never was able to understand such poor fan support, despite state of the HS art facilities, and (usually) VERY good to great teams. Perhaps if AHS let everybody in free, and charge them to get out after the game would be a better option?
Sidenote: I searched out #4 on the field after the game to congratulate him, his effort and his team. We spoke for a few minutes and I may now be his biggest fan. Shook my hand, looked me in the eye and was gracious in defeat. He just said he has to get better and was planning on being at the school today running sprints. Your school and community should be proud!
4 is a class act. If most men had his work ethic and attitude, the world would be a lot better place.
