And she said, "You're just a Coca-Cola cowboy
You got a Eastwood smile and Robert Redford hair
But you walked across my heart like it was Texas
And you taught me how to say I just don't care"

[thatsbaseball]

Provided some great entertainment for millions of people. R.I.P. Jeremiah .

Wow.....I did not see that coming. He had some great movies

“Go pick me out a winner, Bobby”

One of my all-time favorite movies. It and "The Sting" are my top 2 RR flicks.

That really sucks. He had a great run, though.

A few years ago I was in a secondhand bookstore and came across his book The Outlaw Trail. It was a first edition, and signed by him. Price was $75. I offered the owner 40 bucks and he accepted. Great purchase.

All the great ones are leaving as fast as they can. I guess Eastwood and Dylan are next.

[L4Dawg]

He wasn't even in his best movie other than as a narrator....A River Runs Through It.

You shut your whòre mouth about Tay Tay.

Taylor swift.

His dying words being “hail hydra” are somewhat problematic admittedly

Definitely in my top 5 movies of all time. I can sit down and watch it anytime. The book is even better. I read it at least once a year

Robert Redford movie I've probably watched the most:

Sneakers is an extraordinarily underrated 80’s movie

[DawgsGoneWild]

Check out Horse Whisperer. Pretty bad ***. Love story but great

[Pilgrimdawg]

Jeremiah Johnson. My favorite movie of all time. Have most of it memorized and it had a large influence on developing my love for the great American West.

My favorite Redford movie is Jeremiah Johnson. An American classic. If you have never seen it. Go find it and watch.

[RivaDawg]

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is my favorite Redford movie. I don’t think I’ve heard of Sneakers, so may have to watch that and Jeremiah Johnson. I’ve seen that one, but it was a loooooong time ago.

For those of you that haven't read The Natural novel, I highly recommend it.

A fair amount of differences between the two. Since it's been about 25 years at least, I don't recall all of them. But, each is enjoyable in their own right.

I’m gonna have to go with Jerimiah Johnson, loved that movie as a young man.

High on my list of favorite actors.

Great in so many things. Search out young Redford in a Twilight Zone episode, "Nothing in the Dark". He plays a benevolent Death character. Great.

Favorite film roles were in Butch & Sundance, Jeremiah Johnson, The Great Gatsby, All The President's Men (great film, but I question how honest it is now), The Natural (probably my favorite of all), and The Horse Whisperer (whatever happened to that cute little girl actress??)

RIP RR...

[Klovis]

I was happy as hell when i heard he was cast as "Bill Bryson" in "A Walk in the Woods" -- too bad the movie didnt live up to the book.

Takes me back as i bought that book when i was still a Student at State back in 06 or 07. Bought it at the book store there.

My favorite list as well. I’m curious what you question about the honesty of APM? PM if you prefer. Thanks.

There has just been a lot of smoke in recent years about whether Bob Woodward can be trusted as an honest broker.

Former Navy intelligence officer who ends up as a cub reporter and gets assigned this huge story?? Somehow has this connection to what ended up being the highest levels of the intelligence community (Deep Throat - Mark Felt).

With what we know now about the lengths intelligence may go to, I just have more questions than answers in my older age.

Anyway, this is about RR and he made Woodward look like a competent hero, which was his job. Great film.

Say boy, can you skin Grizz? Just as fast as you can find them. Classic!

[Pilgrimdawg]

Interesting side point, Jeremiah Johnson is buried just West of Cody, Wyoming and Robert Redford attended the service. I have been to his grave to pay my respects and to thank him for kindling my love for the wild things and wild places that call the Rockies home.
