Hollywood icon Robert Duvall has died ... the actor passed away at his home Sunday at the age of 95, according to his wife.
That's actually the first movie I thought of when I heard he had passed. He was absolutely fantastic as Tom Cruise's crew chief and father figure. He brought gravitas to any role he was in.It's not the greatest movie, but he was fantastic in Days of Thunder. He had the ability to immediately jump a film up a few levels.
I’m still kicking’. Now go get me a *****.
I'd call that a bold post from a one eyed fat manHe was Ned Pepper in True Gritt and the original Major Frank Burns.
I have both eyes.I'd call that a bold post from a one eyed fat man
And features a Pentecostal preacher who was at the time preaching in North MS. He appears in the film. Duvall’s acting was flawless. The Apostle - a movie that lets us all know we are flawed even with Farrah Fawcet as your wife.
Gosh damn, how did I forget he was the original Ned Pepper. One of my favorite actors in one of my favorite films. Hat tip for that, sir.He was Ned Pepper in True Gritt and the original Major Frank Burns.
Anybody remember his first significant roll, that got him noticed? It was the cab driver in "Bullitt" in 1968, I believe.
