Just heard. One of the real funny SNL folks.

I heard Jim Breuer tell of the night he met him on the SNL set and it was pretty good.

Love Dirty Work. It rivals The Big Lebowski and Dumb and Dumber in terms of awesome one-liners.

I personally loved him doing the late night show tours. He was gold on Conan. And even better on Dennis Miller's late nite HBO show.

And lets not forget him purposefully tanking on Sagat's roast. That still cracks me up.

DAMMIT!!!
Dirty Work is one of my favorite all time dude-movies.
I still randomly say "ok ok, settle down, prostitutes" to crack myself up.

He seemed to get funnier with age. RIP Norm.

I think it's we that got older. At least in my case. I didn't find him funny back when he was on SNL. But 23 years later I find stuff he did back then hilarious.

Dirty Work is great. So underrated.

Apparently, he didn't drive. At all. I heard a story one time that he called like Dana Carvey to meet up for drinks. It's like noon. Well, 1pm, 2pm, 5pm, 7pm all come and go. Finally Norm shows up and he's like "where you going! I just got here!" They were like "Norm, you're literally 8 hours late" and he said "Don't be weird, sit down and have a beer. You know i don't drive, what were you expecting?".

His Late Show appearance trolling Courtney Thorne-Smith and his Comedians in Cars episode with Seinfeld might have been his best bits ever. All impromptu, of course.

One of the all time greats. Jeez, this is a kick in the stomach. I didn’t even know he was sick.

That Late Show hit with Courtney Thorne Smith may be the segment ever aired on late night TV.

Just terrible. His best work to me was when he hosted the White House Correspondence Dinner and roasted Bill and Hillary Clinton

Regardless of his comedy it takes a special kind of bravery for person to stare down death itself the way he did. The way he lived out his life without talking about his illness (apparently with almost no one) ,while heartbreaking is truly inspirational . He deserves a first class movie in his memory. RIP brave and funny man.

It is really hard to express in words how horrible the last couple years have been.

His bit on Germany that he told on Letterman’s last show was as funny as anything I’ve ever heard.

That one is hilarious. A couple of my favorites easily found on YouTube are the alcoholism joke with uncle Burt and the one that’s called maybe the 15 minute joke, something like that. Those are both great.

There’s a 35 minute video on YouTube of Norm absolutely crushing OJ Simpson when he was the host of SNL’s Weekend Update during and after the murder trial. Some of the jokes made me laugh so hard I could hardly breathe. The guy was a savage.

Probably the thing I’ll miss the most about him is just the impeccable, dry delivery he had that was just so damn funny. It was next to impossible for anyone to retell any of his jokes and get the same laughs he did.

I’d never seen that. That handicap parking spot bit was fantastic. It’s sad that I don’t know if you could do that joke today.

I can't find a short clip of it but a great Norm joke was about homeless people with dogs. He said something to the effect of, "I always feel kinda bad for the dog y'know because the dog's gotta be thinking, this sure is a long walk we're on here."

First time I remember seeing Norm was in an early standup, and he said, "I don't get the sport of cliffdiving. I mean, how is that a competition? You can't tell who won. There are only two places you can finish: Grand Champion, or... stuff on a rock over there."

It was only on page 2 so I go ahead and remind you why Norm was actually fired from SNL. It's worth watching the entire thing.
