She turned me on to acoustic music when I was in my first senior year. I guess its Americana now. Truly a huge influence on me and others, like Darius Rucker.

First time I ever heard of her was on the old David Letterman show. He seemed to have her on quite a bit back in the 80's - 90's.

She was so good. I was lucky enough to be in the audience for this insanely great Tribute to Towns Van Zandt at Austin City Limits back in the 90s. Lots of onions being cut when she did her cover of this song. Always been my favorite Nancy Griffith tune. RIP
