The common misperception is that he was also having a “beer” with his smoke at halftime! If that’s a beer, then he had emptied out a Fresca soda pop and replaced it with beer!

I remember seeing him smoke a cig while in uniform. There was a kick returner from Green Bay that smoked during an interview in the locker room after a game. Both times I couldn’t believe a pro athlete would smoke. I was very young then….now not so young.
