Sad news indeed. John was a great guy and a former student of mine. He was one of a few students of mine who kept in touch over the years.

Bummer. John was a high school sports legend in Omaha graduating the same year I did.

He went down with a season ending knee injury about 4 games into the season and was total badass! Up until that point Steinkuhler and him were the 2 best linemen

He had a great game at Penn State in 82. I believe he was also a champion wrestler.
