Some old timers may remember Geno. Played for the Boston Patriots in the old AFL. Receiver & kicker. Held some scoring records for a long time.
Erich Barnes, Giant DB also passed away a short time ago. Very good & tough football player. RIP Erich.

Geno and (QB) Babe Parilli were a great pas- catch combination for the BPs while Geno also was the FG kicker before the soccer style took over
RIP Geno , you were one of the players who helped the AFL become a success, leading to the merger with the NFL

Gino's began in 1959 down near Baltimore when Joe Campanella, Louis Fisher, and Alan Ameche ("Ameche scores!") invited Baltimore Colts' captain Gino Marchetti to become a partner. Gino's went out of business in 1982 but resurrected in 2010 as Gino's Burgers and Chicken. Two stores still exist in Towson and Glen Burnie Maryland.

In the mid-1970s, wasn't there a Gino's at the intersection of George Street and Albany Street in New Brunswick before J&J cleared it all out?

My first job was at a Gino's on Route 1 in Elizabeth near the airport.

Yep! There was also a Gino's in Piscataway. It's now a Pizza Hut.

I remember Gino's circa 1974-76. Albany Street was pretty dodgy then to say the least - X rated movie theater and all. That area where J&J WHQ is was full of dilapidated factory buildings.
