The reason Chip Kelly created his offense was bacause all of his fullbacks were hurt at New Hampshire and he wanted his best 11 on the field. It's like the hook shot in basketball, the game has just evolved.

I wonder what Miles is going do or play now? I’m guessing a TE if some type? Sucks because he was supposed to be a good one.

This really wasn’t a surprise. Fullback is a dying breed and Frost hasn’t ever really used one.

Yeah I was thinking a prior Cornhusker fullback passed away...glad that isn't the case

“We want big, long tight ends that can run and we can split them out and do different things that would do the same thing as a traditional fullback, but now you have more length,” Held said.

I can't see Ben Miles playing TE if this is their thinking process...

I don’t know, Miles might be a great TE for what they want. He should have the running part down. How good was his hands out of high school? What is Miles, 6’2-6’3?? That’s not exactly a long TE but if he is hitting 220-230 area and at 6’3...he could make a good TE version they want. Heck Niles Paul has killed it as a TE in the NFL. When he got drafted, I never assumed he’d make as a TE, so all is possible.
