There's so much content on Twitter right now. I'm just posting a little bit.
Wow, absolutely terrible. Makes the game seem very unimportant.
Not that it’s incredibly important, but was he on foot when hit by a car? Or in a car? The language being used make me think the former…but not sure.

Shefter reports that Haskins was driving on the highway when he stopped and got out of his car on the side of the highway for an unknown reason. At that point he was hit by another car.
Damn shame, far too young. Scheftie as good as they come, but poor wording for sure initially.
Sounds like he was struck by a dump truck and killed on the side(?) of the highway at night.

Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins died after being struck by a dump truck. He was 24. Haskins was a first-round draft pick of the Commanders in 2019 after a standout season at Ohio State.

Living in FL, the average speed of the vehicles on that highway is probably 85 mph. That is no joke. Why anyone would want to try and cross that highway is only known to Haskins and God. It’s like playing Russian roulette with bullets in all 6 chambers. Absolutely inexplicable and just terrible for the individual, his family and friends.
Sunrise in Eastern Florida is around 7:00am so it was still relatively dark at the time.
Let’s see what the toxicology reports say, if ever released.
It’s sad that he died, but people tragically die everyday.
What most deceased people don’t get is the benefit of the official broadcast network of their Alma Mater’s conference
tributizing him in this fashion.
The B1G is nothing other than Upper Midwestern trash conference.
