stanza from We Just Disagree that I thought really captured the sentiment of the song, and of a relationship that's on its last leg/past its last leg:

"I'm going back to a place that's far away
How bout you, have you got a place to stay?
Why should I care when I'm just trying to get along?
We were friends, but now it's the end of our love song"

Hey @Tom McAndrew, I just noticed the new feature on threads, the slide button on top to just view staff posts. Is yours always turned on? 😏😁I also see the new green numbers after the number of posts. The green number indicates number of staff posts. Now can we get a damn delete button?

I saw Dave Mason at the Rusty rudder in Dewey hell in 1985 or so and then maybe 20 years later at Kahunaville in Wilmington it was great both times much younger with much more hair the first time

Story of Kahunaville was at a heart concert there they were OK but when you went to get a drink, they had stacks of tickets at the bar they were giving away for Dave Mason. I grabbed a bunch and some of us went to that mason concert and I’ve always thought what a crazy world where you have to pay for heart and at that concert they’re giving away stacks of Dave Mason tickets. I mean, Mason far exceeds heart

Yup. That song says everything it needs to say in 3 minutes - simple and brilliant

RIP Dave. I think one of the best guitar riffs of all time is at the end of “ Look at you look at me“ on his Alone Together album. I still listen to his music regularly.

I played the hell out of my Dave Mason records in high school. Went to see him at the L.A. Forum in the mid 70's. The Concert headliner was Fleetwood Mac, and the other band that played was Little Feat. I went primarily to see the Feats, but all three bands were great. Mason was playing as a single artist at the time. I know, my Boomer vintage is showing. LOL.
