I think probably he could explain a little bit more about that, what he meant specifically,” Riley said. “But we have obviously tried to make a difference in what we’re doing defensively. We made a structural change. The adaptation of players into the system has been a big job for our staff, and we did it with our goal of being better.

“We are growing to that, but not necessarily past it yet. That’s a pretty obvious look at where we are, I think. As we made this change - staff, system, all that - I can appreciate all the work that’s gone into making those parts work.”

Can't say I blame Riley for not understanding it but his explanation appears like a struggle too.

This season has been a total dumpster fire....

I inadvertently started one many years ago on 4th of July.
Glad I bought the extra long garden hose earlier that summer...

I have actually seen a pretty spectacular dumpster fire. A brilliant UH Cougar fan dumped his burning charcoal grill into a dumpster near the pep rally going on in the same parking lot. Talk about a **** show of police, fire engines, and cheerleaders. But nothing compared to Danny and Mike trying to close out a win. Or Diaco playing 10 yards off opposing receivers.

I’ve never actually seen a real “dumpster fire,” but if Nebraska football is anything like one, it’s spectacular!

Dumpster fires occurred in Boulder whenever the Buffalos beat Nebraska along with turned over cars, looting, rioting, and other mayhem. In case you missed it, this happens during a WIN over Nebraska! smfh
