Sure...

Dubs
Timsun

That is all I can remember
Close, but not quite... after NIU I was ready for change. I still defended Riley the person, but that was when I stopped defending his continued and future employment at Nebraska.

I was defending like crazy even after the Oregon game. NIU broke me.

Also, I think dubs will tell you it is over for Riley. I am pretty damn sure he has heard some of the same things I heard last week, anyway. You may not like Tim....hell, I don't always agree with him, but he does know his s*it.

sooner_or_later can be added to your list, however. Lol

Hey Tim, I just realized something. Riley's Husker record is now at 19-17. He has to win the next two games just to maintain his sterling 54% winning record he brought with him from Corvallis. How many Husker dollars is he taking back home with him? Finally will someone please confirm or deny whether Mike ever purchased and moved into a home in Lincoln? I am guessing Embassy Suites or a rental. Another question for everyone out there. Does his wife spend much time in Lincoln or does she spend most of her time back home in Corvallis? I think there is a direct correlation between the commitment he has shown to Lincoln and the state of Nebraska and the commitment he has made to coaching the football team. Very little.

Yep, missed the boat terribly on that one, didn’t I? I knew that he would be better here. Just knew it deep down in my heart! We had better resources, tradition, etc...

Guys like Saban got better when they moved on... Riley would improve too. Not as far as Saban, but he would bring us back to respectability.

What a sucker I turned out to be.

HCMR does live in an apartment in South Lincoln... I have heard his wife spends the majority of her time in Oregon or a lake house outside of Austin...

Good luck with detective Dubs admitting he’s ever been wrong. Just another reason why he’s in my ignore list.

Shoot, I am wrong all the time! Now, I (like all of us) knew that Riley was a joke of hire but I think that even the most erectioned Riley fans can now admit that even viagra wouldn't help

Well let's hope Moos hires the right man so we can all be happy again.

There is nothing to apologize for...Not one Husker fan said "YES!!!! Guys...we got Riley!!" when he was hired...we all knew it was lame. We all tricked ourselves into thinking it could work...we were all wrong.
I’m not apologizing for getting behind Riley, I’m apologizing for sometimes being an ***. But I do appreciate your words here.

I second it on Dubs. He almost always has the goods; I've been lurking for far longer than i have posted.

Has Langs ever been part of a high scoring offensive ???
He is always saying they are playing pretty good, But I Don't See It And The Scoreboard Never Reflects It.

He had a big hand in it but if we don't blow the coverage on that last long pass play, NIU doesn't beat us. All we needed was a stop. One stop. Doesn't change how poorly we played but it would have been a W.
I disagree. The two pick 6s were from the NIU 13 and 25, both well within Brown's range. You give NU six for two FGs and take away 14 from NIU, the final score is NU 23, NIU 7. While not totally on Lee, the loss had nothing to do with the defense, that loss was a combo of Lee, Langsdorf and a bit on receiver play.

Some offensive approaches just don't produce mass amounts of points. 31 points is highly productive to those teams and with a good defense that should be plenty of points.

You’ve treated me well when you could have rubbed it in. I wish I could say the same from early on in riley’s tenure here... I was a jerk at times. Apologies.

I will remember this... thanks for being the bigger man.
Timsun you are a fair poster no shame in being a supportive fan. My view of Riley was tainted before he came here.

This thing is a bad time for all NU fans

And one more thing. If Lee had sat a series or two after the first INT, he may have thought twice about throwing the second one.

I heard the arguments before about Savanna. The difference was Savanna actually had some history of doing something positive in college football.

timnsun, sometimes you just WANT to believe that it will happen, even though you may have your doubts and the facts just don't support hopes. I was with you on that. I tried to support this circus as long as I could, even though my eyes were telling me right out of the gate that this would not work.

I realize that but it still came down to all we needed was our D to make a stop on their last drive and we blew an assignment and let them score. We had the lead and gave up a big play. It should have never come to that against that crappy offense but Lee kept them in it and then our D let us down on that last drive.

Stop it. No reasonable posts today. Since the defense quit today we must ignore one of their best games of the year.

Ok, That definitely sounds like over thinking something.
SCORE AS MANY POINTS AS YOU CAN ON EVERY DRIVE. Thats kinda what the game is about.
Acting as if every play is LIFE AND DEATH may help that. Maybe that is what is wrong with this offensive crap hole we have. Just feeling like we gotta try to do this or that. FN DO IT AND GET IT DONE OR WE ALL DIE DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so frustrating...

And I realize the defense is a huge problem, but the offense is an even bigger issue and it has been all year. We are not capable of scoring more than 36 points???
How in the hell does any one of these offensive coaches think we are "doing pretty good" on offense.
The acceptance of mediocrity by some of these coaches is absolutely mind blowing!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty hard to say offense is a bigger issue... I’d say it’s pretty equal, with defense really pushing for top honors of suckage now...

If we scored 40 points every game we would have only lost 1 game (well 2 now).
I see Frost being able to get that done (Or close to it), Don't you?
It takes both offense and defense. I get it.
Offense was suppose to be a strong suit this year though and someone just told me certain offenses are only meant to make 31 points.
Sounds absurd, I know...
Some coaches do tend to over think stuff sometimes though, don't ask me how I know..
Anyway,
Football is a game where you try to score as many points as you can and you attempt to keep the other team from scoring any. More likely to score more on offense than it is to hold every team to 6 or 7 points.
Gotta have both, but look at the season as a whole and you may be able to see the problem. New defense and the offense has been in place for a longer period of time too.
sorry for the Stone Age Football Lesson.
