“UCLA could do worse”. Hope that’s not the spin their AD uses if he hires him.

Would love to see it happen. He could bring in some pretty decent talent there, which is what he is going to need with Cavanaugh as his OLine coach.

Just shows how out of touch the media is with reality. Rules for starting a rumor:

1. Is the guy a coach...check
2. Is he from the region...check
3. Will he be available...check
4. Did someone think he was a good coach ever? check

Computing........Mike Riley is going to Ucla

Once you have coached at the college level, do you always have a job opportunity no matter how poorly you perform? Cosgrove is employed in college football, right? Now Mike Riley has interest?
This is so true...coaching, especially football...is the biggest "Good Ole Boys" network around

Could it be he really is a good coach, note I didn't say great coach. Could it be there were circumstances we are not aware and he did need more time. I am not defending him but I also don't think it is fair to say he is a total disaster when so many people in the coaching business have such respect for the guy.

Gerry Faust got a job after his Notre Dame gig. Some schmuck school would probably hire him (Riley). I would think his football days would be over after Nebraska, why coach anymore when you've got retirement money to burn. Take some vacations and enjoy life.

Good reason to hire a head coach if you ask me; btw I didn’t know he was nice, thank you sir.....

No problem.
I just want people to know that he's a nice guy.

I think if you're a decent coach, you have an overall winning record to show for it, which he does. He just wasn't the answer for Nebraska, he should leave the gridiron behind and just enjoy life, why put yourself through anymore stress than necessary? Wish him luck and good health, and happiness the rest of his days.

If I were UCLA my #1 target would be Frost. His Oregon lite offense would be perfect in LA when it's 80° and sunny every game. Still think he a 90% lock to come to Nebraska.

Frost would be cheaper, younger, and less of a controversy considering a show cause on Kelly....

I would pick Scott Frost for all those reasons, but Scott Frost loves Nebraska so I would have to go with him even though he's less experienced. If Kelly came to NU and said I WANT TO COACH HERE, and Frost the same....I would pick Frost.

Am I coming off a little Frost heavy here?

GBR!!!

Yes he loves Nebraska so much he went to Stanford. From the looks of Scott's wife she would probably choose Rodeo Drive with that new contract over the new Scheels at Southpoint.

He is not on their top 7 hot list.
If they want to try to take off on day one they need to hire an offensive staff who would come in on day one and run a similar system to Mora's. Hmmm where could they find an OC and HC to do that?

Ahh yes,..... which diploma did he end up with? I can't remember...

His first head coaching gig wasn't Nebraska either.

UCLA has the talent to run DL's offense and people out there are tired of their coach acting like and an a##hole. IF they could pair DL with a top DC, they might be okay. Getting talent is easy at UCLA.

If something crazy were to happen and we don't land Frost, here's to Mora going "home" to UW. I'd gladly take Petersen. Another reason Bo should have been let go a year earlier, would've been great to at least make a run at CP.

My goodness.
I don't know what about this is more wrong....
That you think riley is a good coach, or that you think coaches are honest when talking about other coaches.

Perhaps you should read what I posted again. I was referring to what others are saying about him. So all the other coaches are liars. Since you really don't know my opinion of him, please don't tell me what it is. Others in the professional seem to think differently than you. My opinion doesn't count either way.
