How do we know Moos didn't reach out to Kelly via back channels and Kelly said "no"?
Nebraska isn't snoozing. We can reach out and contact agents, etc just as easy with or without a HC.UCLA just fired Mora now for a reason. Why didn't they wait til after their last game? Kelly is playing Florida vs. UCLA while Nebraska snoozes. If Frost stays we are stuck in a bad situation.
Once again... how do you know Moos hasn't already contacted Kelly and gotten a "no"?UCLA just fired Mora now for a reason. Why didn't they wait til after their last game? Kelly is playing Florida vs. UCLA while Nebraska snoozes. If Frost stays we are stuck in a bad situation.

That is not how this works. Of course Riley hasn't been fired yet. But what Moos would have asked Kelly is something like this: "we might be making a change in our head coaching position at the end of the season. Would you be interested in the job were we to offer you?" Kelly may have responded: "sorry, but I am not interested in coaching at Nebraska, now, or in the future." You have no idea whether or not Moos has contacted Kelly or what was said. Nor do I. And that is the point. Just because Riley has not been fired means absolutely nothing in terms of sending out feelers via back channels to various coaches. But your post assumes that you know that, because Riley has not been fired, Moos must be sitting on his hands doing nothing. I find that highly unlikelyMaybe Kelly is waiting for Riley to be fired 1st. That's why UCLA and other schools move to fire and not wait. Makes no sense for UCLA otherwise.

Tesla was the true genius behind that system. Edison just had a ton of great coaches, and he took credit for their great play calling. No he didn't. He did take credit though.
I don't think those sort of ethical dilemma's affect Chip Kelly. Some coaches, probably Chip Kelly, won't even entertain Nebraska via Agents, because they haven't fired their coach yet. Once they do, he express his interest. With some guys, you have to fire 1st to guage interest in others, even via agents. Who knows what is written in contracts.
You serious. Anyone that has been around the game knows how this works. They all know MR is done here. If they are interested, then they are already talking. Its a big boys game. Some coaches, probably Chip Kelly, won't even entertain Nebraska via Agents, because they haven't fired their coach yet. Once they do, he express his interest. Why?I’d be shocked now if it didn’t occur in the next 24-36 hours.
UCLA is trying to hire an unemployed coach. We are trying to hire a coach who is employed and will not leave that position for at least 1 week longer. Nothing wrong with keeping the present guy.UCLA just fired Mora now for a reason. Why didn't they wait til after their last game? Kelly is playing Florida vs. UCLA while Nebraska snoozes. If Frost stays we are stuck in a bad situation.
Really? Which coaches?Maybe Kelly is waiting for Riley to be fired 1st. That's why UCLA and other schools move to fire and not wait. Makes no sense for UCLA otherwise. Out of respect, some coaches will not talk to schools until their coach is fired.

For anyone who thinks having fired Riley 3-4 weeks ago was the best thing to do.......absolutely nothing would be different now if they had.
