Frost is locked up for 7 years. So the answer is probably 3 more years.

Doubtful we magically turn into a disciplined football team over that time period.

Fundamentally (penalties, turnovers, special teams) it was a bad game. But they fought through it and managed to get the win. Far too many teams in recent years have given up when things got tough.

Let’s not kid ourselves though, they play like this next week, there won’t be a comeback. It will get ugly in a hurry.

Bottom line is is that the team is progressing... They have been more competitive than they have in some time... Sloppy? Yup. Never said they weren't... However, the constant bitching, crying and comparisons to Riley is old... On to the next one GBR!!!

Threads like this a day later reveal our frustrations in the moment. Last week we had 1 penalty, 1 turnover and a blowout. This team is very Jekyll and Hyde, but given time, I believe we will continue to improve. Will people give time for the change to occur?

I know people see other programs and change comes much quicker, but evidently that’s not gonna be us. Change will have to come for us not at our pace, but the one the coaches set.

It’ll be a fun ride...

What do you mean, if they play like this in any of the games remaining, there won’t be a happy out come..

My wife and I thought they were looking ahead to Ohio st, that’s why you saw lack of concentration stupid penalties, just curious if anyone else though the same way

I’m not dismissing that idea but were not good enough of a team that can over look anyone especially when we hadn’t won on the road for 2 years..

lets not kid ourselves, we will have yo play out of our minds to be within a score in the 4th, and then all bets would be off. But that doesnt devalue a young team that learned to win in spite of their own mistakes. I saw a salty defense that buckled down when they had to. I dont care if it was Illinois, lessons must be learned and battles must be won, this team did both again yesterday.

no, this team knows they arent good enough to overlook a division opponent. Illinois just outhit us and turnovers are HUGE. Look up how many teams win on a percentage basis when -3 in turnovers, its not good. This team overcame.

I agree with you, did you watch any of the Illinois game from September 14? They sucked it would be pretty easy for the players and coaches to take a peak at Ohio st because they figured the Illinois game was in the bag just like Colorado at half time

The team plays like the the fans expectations. Fans and media just wanted to play this game because it was on the schedule and were looking forward to tOSU. There will be no NC, conference or division championships until team and fans start focusing on one game at a time attitude and truly believe that is how success is achieved.

I could see Illinois surprising some teams this year, they played better than I expected. Definitely won't go bowling but they could get to five wins and maybe knock off someone they shouldn't.

While the team made a ton of costly mistakes, I'm not sure what has prompted the comments about them being "soft." Looked like several players took a pounding and kept coming back for more. I realize Washington had to bow out, but he made a lot of big plays for an RB nursing a quad injury.

Other than Noa getting alligator arms on that pass he dropped, I didn't much in the way of softness last night.
