Right field fence

Anyone ever just setup outside the right field fence, with a cooler, a couple a chairs and watch a game? I have a couple of buddies who swear it’s a great time, since we all don’t have tickets for the game Friday, it’s been suggested to try that. Thoughts? Comments?

It’s a good spot but you’ll need to get there early. In undergrad, we’d watch from the field hockey bleachers but that crowd is a little rowdier.

certainly “back in the day”, i watched many a game from behind left field … good view, good time … but i’ll admit, having szn tickets beats stadium seats and i prefer my current view

that being said, i fully endorse folks unable to acquire tickets try it

Considering the fact that we're game two, I also imagine people will have seats out there set up at 11:00am with plans of watching the first game then staying all the way through the Heels game.

I also see people set up chairs down the first base fence outside the dorm. Not sure the view but should be able to see scoreboard pretty well and it’s shaded. Just another option if outfield is packed.

Someone set up what looked like a tiki bar in right field one year if I’m not mistaken. I was in the stadium and kept looking out at the party going on and it gave me serious FOMO

We used to do that in my younger days at a local ballpark, and we called it the right field lounge!

Don’t take your own baseballs if you go the field hockey stadium route. Just saying.

Arkansas Super in 2022....and it was straight fire..add in the rain delays with no rain and that was a blast....unfortunately, it appears the PTBs have shut down the party that the top of KSS once was.

Seems like it all changed during I believe one of the Duke games last year when whoever was up there decided to throw a ton of baseballs on the field during play.....ruined the party scene for everyone....

My fraternity thought it was a great idea to do that. Used to plug in the air fryer in the bathroom and cook some lunch. Celebrated a lot of walk offs on those bleachers.
