Rider game?

Comparing both teams’ schedules, it seems like there are a ton of openings where this game can take place. Has there been any word yet on scheduled date? I know Pike has mentioned before he wants this game back on the schedule.


Even though a victory will mean very little, we need to stack up wins. 20 wins and we should get in no matter what.

I thought the final word on that was cancelled, not to be rescheduled. Makes no sense to play it.

Assume not as both teams look jam packed w/schedules until conference tourney's, but I assume we'd be paying them, they could use the $$, and we could use the win....

I don't know, but there really is nothing to be gained by rescheduling this game. Rider is a sub-300 Quad 4 game, so winning doesn't do anything for us, and struggling or worse absolutely DESTROYS our tournament chances.

Yes and no.
Another win just looks so much better optically, NET statistics be damned.
Maybe gets RU a higher seeding too.
Would love to know the back story why the game wasn’t made up.

One of NET factors is wins / total games played so indeed would have helped?

We are playing well now…and playing good teams. We don’t need a crap team to drag us back into the abyss of our pre-league OOC schedule…when we played like garbage.

I know nothing is guaranteed, but really could have used that cancelled RIDER game to have been rescheduled. That potential win would only help our win total and Tournament chances.

The way we were playing at the time (sans Purdue), there is no guarantee that was a W. Furthermore the 2+ week layoff seemed to breathe life back into this team, so I'm not going to quibble with the cancellation at this point.

The thread about this was bumped already today. A low Q4 win means nothing. Another Q4 loss would be disastrous.

Really just visually more appealing to look at the final record is the perk

Rutgers is +10.2 efficiency margin
Rider is -7.6 efficiency margin
We'd have to beat them by over 20pts for the game to mean anything.
Anything less the game would hurt us, not worth it.
