Just spoke with Pitino's attorney. He says there would be no reason for him to resign, as he's not accused of any wrongdoing by Feds today.

As far as that goes, you are right. But more is involved. This investigation will produce federal indictments. People are going to jail over this.The fact that his agent is out ahead of Louisville saying anything makes it all clear: This is simply the chess game over the size of his buyout, and whether the school will activate the "just cause" clause.
