And two underclassmen in bone and floppy williams plus admiral, and kyle... ha ha
I’m not saying he’s not a good coach but I remember a whole lot of early flame out’s in the NCAA tournament while he was at Texas.RB has made UT relevant in basketball and he’s putting butts in seats.
He’s not going to UCLA, but this will make UT pay RB what he’s earned. UT is worth whatever raise he gets. He’s earned it.
UCLA has contracts with every coach that they approach as a candidate. When the school pays those coaches extra to stay put, they pay a percentage to UCLA. It is a profitable venue. Coaches get richer, and UCLA gets richer. they came up the formula that can't fail.
Please let this happen. If there is a program trashy enough to give Rick Pitino another chance it’s Tennessee.
Yes I believe Peatl had them #1 in the country while he was there. Not sure how old you are but they were a thorn in our side during the Ray Mears years.
Williams is going to get his lunch money stolen every day in the NBA if he doesn't stop that flopping. NBA has a rule against it and they call technical fouls for it.What will Williams do when the flopping gets no attention in the pros?
What decade was this post written?Ucla is about to take its name out of consideration for being good lol.
I'm calling UCLA tomorrow to inquire about the coaching vacancy. I could use some extra cheese. [laughing]UCLA about to get everybody a raise.

I know Tennessee fans hate this thought, but how can you turn down a gig like UCLA when the offer comes? It's the same thing as those Memphis fans who got so angry at Calipari leaving for UK. But how can you blame him? These jobs only come open every so often. They are usually filled by someone for 10+ seasons. Turnover is rare. So, when they come calling, you have to seriously consider it and you may have to take the leap. Tennessee fans will be nasty about it if he does leave, though. As we saw from their behavior this season, it will get ugly.

I don't see him taking the UCLA job either. He does better with lesser expectations and is a perfect fit for a place like UT; a program that's never won anything. No way he leaves. UCLA be damned.
