"I’m proud of my African heritage, as are 70% of the other Black players in this league."

LMAO.

How do you determine -- in your place of work -- exactly who, and who is not, proud of their heritage?

Chill. Dude misspoke. Take out the word black, and the sentence makes sense.

The only reason anyone would defend Incognito at this point is because he played at Nebraska or he currently plays for a team you root for. The guy has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's a scumbag. He's also undeniably good at football so we all have to deal with the fact that in this game, it rarely matters what kind of person you are, but rather what kind of player you can be for your team.

Not defending his past infractions, but there are and were many worse than him.

Not defending Incognito, but the process by which people in this country now feel the need to assign guilt without due process.

This situation should be investigated further. Do we simply believe everyone who makes a charge against another because they "don't have a reason to lie?" That is a very slippery slope.

You can start to interviewing other players/coaches/etc to see if this is isolated or a potential one-time event. Harvey Weinstein got proven out. A pattern of behavior is typically the first sign of trouble.

Meh, I thought the situation in Miami was blown way out of proportion and the guy doing the complaining came off as a *****, and Incognito is far from the worst guy playing football right now. Sorry, but don't buy most of what you're selling.

Wish Richie had no association to Nebraska. When I lived in Lincoln, I knew several police officers that were happy to see him leave Lincoln.

The black OT that plays right beside him says it didn't happen and is defending him as a good teammate. FWIW.

So he is saying 30% of them aren't proud of their heritage? Or is he really trying to say 70% of the league is African American.

So you call someone a name in trenches.........I thought that was mandatory. I can remember some pretty bad stuff said to me on the football field about my sisters and mom. I just fed it back. Didn't feel I needed to report the guys.

So what did he say?
Im assuming as well here...but im guessing we all assume he said the N word, correct?
But the guys tweet didnt say he used the N word. It just says racial slurs.
Well in America today simple disagreement is seen as racist.
If he did in fact use the N word or something, then shame on him.
But according to his teammate it isnt true.
What if he just said something generally insulting? Trash talk, etc that an overly sensative player took as racist but really wasnt?
A lot of people here jumping to conclusions before any facts come out.

I'm not claiming Incognito as a Husker. He was booted off the team for a reason.
