He had Hornsby lined up and blew that. He had CT and blew that. Besides that, there were plenty of other targets out there besides Sims.
I disagree, I think Rhule tried to get CT to stay and CT left for the reason this was his last year to play and he needed numbers for any chance to move on to the NFL. Had he stayed at NU he was behind the power curve by missing spring practice and was to risky to try and play catch-up during fall ball. I feel he left NU and dropped to a lower level of ball to ensure his playing time and numbers gave him the best chance.

There's nothing to disagree about, that's exactly what happened. Rhule did a piss poor job convincing him Nebraska was a viable option.

Because he wouldn't promise him the starting spot? Why would Rhule tell an injured qb that he'd be the starter?

he didn't have a problem telling the most turnover prone QB in all of college football that he'd be the starter

Lots of speculating. It’s very possible he told them both they would compete and Sims may have the upper hand due to participating in spring ball and Casey made a decision based on that.

If Rhule was honest with him (no reason to believe he wasn’t) then Casey did what he thought was best for him.

Casey left to be with the head coach that convinces him to play at texass.

I don’t blame him for making that decision with his one year of eligibility ..

@JOHNNY N that's a fact

he said that today. I never said anything about him and CT's discussions because I don't know what happened there.

do you think sims comes here without a guarantee to start?
