I’m pretty sure a majority of the fan base is done with looking for the next Tom Osborne or Bob Devaney. I mean, every time we hire a guy, half the fan base wants him fired after his first loss, so why should anybody be concerned with getting a coach that bolts after having success.

Nebraska is a destination school. If you can't win here... graveyard.

Does it concern anyone that the longest stay he's had anywhere is 4 years tops ?
Yes, but no guarantees. After year 3, Trev needs to have his next guy dialed up just in case. If he bolts, it's because he's succeeding bigly.

A little bit, and it's a valid concern. With some of the names I've been hearing for potential assistants, I'm higher on Ruhle than I previously was.

No, I'm concerned about whether or not he can win in the B1G. If he can't win in the B1G he ain't going any where and that will be a big problem if we owe yet another big buyout. If he wins in the B1G sufficiently to get a better offer, then Nebraska will have come back. So him leaving is the least of my worries.

I hope he is good enough to draw interest by other schools…..unlike our last 3 F’n coaches. That the real concern here.

I just want a coach that will get the ball rolling and if the next coach moves on to another school that means he did very well at Nebraska. We just need someone to get this thing moving in the right direction and then worry about the next hire. The days of HC staying with a program for a career are pretty much over and the sooner we recognize this the better we will all be as fans of the school and not necessarily the head man.

Why would that be a concern? Did you marry an ugly woman out of fear that an attractive one would leave you? One problem at a time, right now let's focus on winning more than 5 games for the first time since 2016.

For the love of god can y’all start spelling his name right
It could be worse, we could be hiring "Kleinman." If I had to watch people butcher that guy's name for a decade I'd be homicidal.

not really, cause baylor is a better job then temple
and the panthers is a better job then baylor.

so seems he would either leave for a sideways job like penn state (personal reasons)
or go back to the nfl..(which he probably got his fill of)

(if we don't run him off before)

after flipping coaches like pancakes, 4 years doesn't phase me at all

someone should make a list of all the coaching turn over we had the last 20 years, compared to the 20 years before that

No, he was moving up, Temple to Baylor & again when he got a big offer to the NFL, now he's been there & chose to come back to college & chose NU. I'm guessing that means he prefers college & NU will provide everything he needs to be successful.

I think NU went to a plastic surgeon and got a face lift and a tummy tuck. She shouldn't have to worry about another woman for quite a while...

He's a smart guy, not foolish like Frost who thought he could finesse the league. You look at what is working for IL, MN, WI and Michigan and strive to improve upon it.

Getting big nasties in the portal is our priority.

I am dreaming of the day we have a coach someone else wants to poach
True. As opposed to having coaches who have other schools saying:
