I agree with you, long term he can't and won't do that stuff. But he won over some teammates with the physicality and that count's for a lot. He'll learn.
It wasn't smart. You only have Chubba left and he has issues. Gotta think .

Yeah right , you don't need to give shots when you have nobody behind you. You think like a Marine.

Exactly, HH isn't a good enough passer to worry about not getting hit. His running ability and physicality is his strength, so use it!

He wants to get better & I believe he will.

Made good decisions and some good throws in his first start since C1 ball.

You act like we should take teams for granted. We haven’t had that luxury in years. A clean win is a good win regardless of who we are playing.

Is this the only Tommie Frazier comparison?
I’m not comparing Haarberg to Touchdown Tommie

I am saying don’t sell your season tickets

Might be in for more fun than you thought if the coach sticks with the guy who clearly gives us the best chance to win.

I'd bet you. It was his first start , TOM ( Turn Over Machine ) has 26 starts ? Wait till the kid gets a few games under his belt.
I agree he's the better QB for us. Faster than Sims though? Not quite, but plenty fast!

I know you won’t see this because you’re too soft for my posts

But Haarberg literally tested faster than sims in the off-season

The results are public & were posted here several times

Yeah sims should be done for the season. I like rhule and think he'll win here, but what a massive mistake to bring in a guy that was Terri at Georgia tech and obviously wasn't ready for big ten football

HH reminds me of Tebow

I watched the Florida Gators Tebow Meyer documentary last night (great btw), and was thinking the same thing.

Tebow was never an elite passer, but he made solid throws when they were needed.

He looked pretty good, but before everyone starts sucking each other's dikks, they lost to Sothern Illinois last week. Guess what? Get ready for Sims to start when he is healthy. Rhule spends more time licking his lips than analyzing who the best QB on the roster is.

That will be comical. We score 10 points or less. Not to be a debbie downer, but from what I have seen from the offense, this will be a Michigan boatrace, Let's get realistic here. Feel free to save this post. If we put up some points, I will own it.

And SOME could argue. The greatest college QB of all time. Most historians agree at least. However, I think there were some better. Not many though.

Tebow was the greatest of all time?
According to 80 percent of the historians. Yes. Look it up. Frazier is up there, though. Tebow is kind of a no- brainer if you know anything about college football. The guys that get paid to do their job apparently think the same way. According to the gurus, it is not even a debate.

Who is the starter now. Most coaches won't replace a starter because of injury. Practice warrior or Rookie ?
Well I do expect him to start Sims because of his loyalty in anointing Sims pre-season. BUT if Sims doesn't get the start it's NOT because of injury, it's because of the multiple fumbles which cost us the first two games. Didn't Rhule himself say if you fumble, you can't play for us? That can't or shouldn't apply only to select players, it should apply to everyone equally regardless of who they are. If he starts Sims now, he clearly isn't making decisions based on game performance.

HH gives us hope. Sims just isn’t there mentally. HH looks like a better decision maker, runner and passer. Rhule would be making a huge mistake bringing Sims back in and the fan base will let him know

HH looked decisive and confident. Like veteran. Sims looks confused, like a freshman.

I agree with you to temper the excitement, if that’s what you got. I think most people believe these things to be true.
1. Our D is very very Good.
2. We don’t need our offense to be great. Just take care of the Damn Ball and not beat yourself.
3. It’s just Northern Illinois = BIG West is just the BIG West
4. Just Win Baby! has never been more true. Move past the beaten down, loser mentality. Even if it’s a 1-pt, boring win, learn how to win, build confidence, then expect to win!

Excellent post and great points, especially the bold. Beating NIU certainly doesn't mean we can all the sudden hang with the Georgia's and Michigan's of college football. But we can damn sure hang with the Northwestern's and Purdue's of the B1G West.

We will need him at some point? The dude (Sims) will start the second that he is healthy. Like probably next week. I have seen this **** many times before. Frost did it with Adrian week after week. Why? ego. There is no doubt ( and not like the dude Haarberg lit the world on fire against NIU. Because he played pretty good, not great) that Sims will start when his ankle is good. And that is a coaching decision. a ****** one at best. Please watch and let me know how this plays out.

You may be correct that Sims will start if health, I’m sure Rhule knows Sims can play better than he has and would like to see him do that. But this is hardly the same situation as Adrian.

When AM was benched or hurt the other QB’s didn’t come in a produce. Bunch lost to this same NIU team, McCafferry absolutely sucked against Illinois. AM actually was our best option.

Also Rhule is not Frost. He has switched QB’s before and has played young QB’s before.

I believe the team will also let him know

Bringing sims back risks losing all 110 kids in the locker room

Haarberg has bled with them for years through 3 coaching staffs and a lot of losing.

Sims is an imposter. Not his fault but reality of the portal and team culture.
