—-Spent half the podcast talking about Baylor. 4 years in we should be able to pull info from the Huskers accomplishments, key plays, anything?!

—Admin told him to shut down the pod and sounded like Macafee too. I think he and Troy are hitting some conflicts. Still think it’s odd he didn’t thank Troy in his BIG media address.

— Rhule was apparently trying to decided between Oregon and Baylor job at the time of the hire??

It’s time to freaking win some games we aren’t supposed to. I still believe in Rhule and I will probably be the guy falling off the titanic hitting the propellers on the way to my demise. HCMR don’t make a bigger fool of me than I already am!

Not gonna say it's a done deal because I honestly don't know if anything ever came of it, but I do know for a fact that there was interest from people down here in Waco who explored the idea or were going to explore the idea of bringing rhule back. Again don't know if Baylor is still looking into that or not but will not be surprised at all if it happens.

He will never be a major college head coach again after we throw him into the gutter
The man has made some incredibly baffling decisions on and off the field. Almost every mistake we watched frost make was seemingly replicated with this guy. We should have hired Urban Meyer or at least put the full court press on him the moment he started showing some interest in the job (not sure if he would have taken it, but it did pique his interest)

In fairness I only mentioned back to Baylor because he spent 1/2 the interview doing an infomercial on Baylor. It’s weird.

That podcast is in Waco and their host (every time I've seen him talk about nebraska) hates on nebraska. Rhule is media savvy. If i were a tin foil guy I'd say they are testing the waters of a return if rhule hits the 6 or 7 win mark this season. Or around that mark.

This would be a gift to us. Put yourself in Rhule's shoes - he's too young to retire. He loves being a hype man.

So what do you do if ur Rhule and things go sideways (not collapse)? You go home where people still like you. I could see Baylor happening if they would take him.

Oh! Didn’t know that it was based in Waco. Still don’t like the Bearlove though regardless.

I sure notice that he doesn't get the same number of views as he used to.. I think most fans are tired of listening to him, or tune him out directly. I certainly don't usually tune in, because it's all bs..

I knew this guy couldn't handle the pressure here when they hired him. You could see it from his videos leading up to his firing from the NFL. But lots of people here told me I didn't know what I was talking about. If things go poorly this year, he will be right back to speaking like a battered man again.

I hope it goes good, but I do not like this guy as the head coach. He makes very bad decisions on lots of things. Guys who are great talkers, usually aren't that good at anything else. (there is a hint in there, for the astute reader..)

A part of me wants to see it all burned down, so we can start over with another guy who actually understands what made Nebraska successful, and will follow the damn formula. Nobody has had the balls to really do that yet, and that's what we need, before the program is permanently dead.

I still think these players can get us to the playoffs this year, in spite of all the 'hicks' that Rhule likes to hire.

I've got a novel husker crypto token, its looking to increase in value by 3000% over the next quarter. All you need to put down is $1000, send it to my metamask account and I will share this invaluable coin with you, deal?

I thought I read or saw some video where Rhule said he had some regret for leaving Baylor. He knows the honeymoon with the Nebraska fans has run its course.

I mean it would be great if someone took him. Isn't the buyout not that steep if someone wants to get him but really steep if we fired him? That's how you know the AD got worked.

Max are you on Wilson Dittman’s payroll with this topic or doing some side work for him? The season can’t come fast enough.
The folks that hired Rhule, well, Ted Carter isn’t even in the BIG anymore and Trev has moved to aTm. The structure around Rhule has changed dramatically since he’s got here plus all the evolving NIL stuff which honestly he’s done a really decent job with all that.
It seems like Rhule is loyal to his family and wants to see this through. You think Trey is coming here if Rhule isn’t solid? Come on man
This is a prove it year. In the video he said now it’s time to accelerate a build on what’s been done. GBR

We are saying the same things. Definitely a prove it year and I am in his camp because I think it’s gotta “click” at some point. Nice been a staunch defender of his conviction to his process and method.

with all that said - I have never heard coach take half of an interview and talk about his old school that he coached at 7 or 8 years ago. Rhule needs to stop with that nonsense and make it about the Huskers. “I appreciate the questions but I’m solely focused on the Huskers and what we are going to accomplish….”

And another thing. He’s the leader of the program - it’s a ***** move to throw the AD under the bus because he didn’t want him doing the podcast. “As I evaluated where I need to focus my time - I think we have other areas that need my attention, in the future I hope to fire it back up when the time is right”. It’s a weak position “I just do what they tell me to do” … (beta).

He can spend all his time talking about Baylor. Or Colorado. Or China. Or Russia. I don't care. Just f*cking win for once. I used to care what offense we ran. What the coach said. How pretty a win was.

I want the feeling that the basketball team brought this year. No excuses. Go out and look like you belong.

What if Nebraska is the problem? That would be weird. We keep switching out parts and nothing changes, though.

Agree, that didn’t come across well at all. He got his feelings hurt/wings clipped etc. There’s a real disconnect there, as he’s tried to justify doing all that stuff. In my opinion leaders are going to disagree or should that stuff is natural but get with the program man and lead on. Agree he doesn’t show enough conviction there for my taste either. The biggest problem that I have had so far with him is that he’s an average coach and needs above average resources and good coaches around him to elevate the program. He’s an above average CEO and ambassador. Here’s to everyone elevating their game this yr

I don’t wanna dive deep into why certain coaches left the staff or how they succeeded or not since MR was hired, but, what if White, Pot Roast, and Ekeler were still here. I guess I wonder what that staff would have done. Hopefully Wade and Aurich are solid hires. Just hope they don’t get run off if they are.
