RG3 say Corral 4 Heisman

OM would have to win 10 games minimum for Corral to win it, and they haven’t had a winning season as a program since Tunsil and Nkemdiche left town. They had arguably the third best offense in SEC history last year and still would have gone 4-6 if they had played A&M. So no, that is highly unlikely.
OM will have a really good offense again but probably run it as much or more than last year. I’m not sold on their WRs outside of Sanders, and he has never stayed healthy.
Let me warn you. Matty ICE will throw for the most ints in the sec this year and be the biggest bust this year.
This is a real point. But they still got weapons. I’m hoping it’s another 2009. Somebody needs to pull a Bradley Sowell

OM has good RBs and a veteran OL. Sanders is very good but again, will he stay healthy? All their other receivers are pretty average. Frankly for the first time ever, I like our receiver group about as good as theirs. And if Sanders goes down, ours are better IMO. Moore was the second best WR in America last year and may be the best rookie WR in the NFL this season- he and Yeboah are huge loses from a weapon/explosiveness standpoint.
They will be good on offense again but not better than last year. The people operating under that the OM defense will be better because it can’t be worse have to also assume that OM’s offense will be worse because it can’t get any better.
Annual tradition. OM and pre-season over hyped QB's. And over hyped everything else for that matter.
Happens every year in every sport. Ole Miss is and always will be the PRESEASON champion.

One bad game from a QB on a non-contender has foiled many a Heisman campaign.
And there is nothing about Matt Corral that would make anybody outside of a troll or a homer think he’s not in for a bad outing or two.

Personally, I like how cool, calm, and collected he is on and off the field. He is a (somehow) sloppier/trashier version of Johnny Manziel. The number of $.02 head quarterbacks Ole Miss had rolled out in the last 15 years is staggering.

This is all really fair. I too am concerned about our WR room.. there’s 2-3 guys that are capable of making big jumps, but at some point you are what your play says you are. I also agree that we will run the ball a lot. Kiffin has a reputation as someone who airs it out a ton, but his offenses are incredibly balanced.
Corral’s only hope, as you say, is for us to win big, including at least one prime time upset where he plays out of his mind. The odds are against him.. our defense, while hopefully better, will still be average AT BEST. And Elijah Moore was the safest of all safety blankets. I think our offense will be really good because of Kiffin and Lebby, a really good OL, and good backfield. But Corral isn’t a legit Heisman contender. Obviously I’d love to me wrong.

They are just setting it to be able to promote Arch when he comes in...having had a "recent" heisman contender bodes well when having another contender follow closely behind. Gets everybody used to the thought of it.
And, speaking of defense, are they going 2B able to stop anyone?

Let me rephrase that. I believe he will go wherever David Cutcliffe is. It's entirely possible Lane could blow this job at Ole Miss and they rehire David to get another Manning.
Cutcliffe is 66 years old. I think Duke is his last job, and I don't think he has more than a year or two left there. He might possibly be hired as an offensive consultant at Mississippi, but he won't be OC with Kiffen at the helm, and I think Kiffen will be there for a few more years. In any case, I don't think it will be a factor in where Manning signs.
