He stole tax payer money and abused his office. Kind of a big deal.
Evidently, you can't read. He was convicted and did time. Kinda a big deal. He has also stayed out of the public eye, and has not made excuses. Like I said, I'll forgive, but I won't forget. Now, if Ritchie starts to call attention to himself like Rex, he'll get the same treatment.

Has there ever been a former UK player, from the state of Kentucky who was idolized as a high school player and as a UK player who is despised by UK fans more than Rex?
He is despised by UK fans because they disagree with him politically. Most on here will deny that and say it is because of his drug and legal issues, but some of the most beloved, including Sky and Goose have had bad legal issues too, and they are loved. They just don't post liberal political thoughts.

Rex said the key to a deep KY run is Keon Brooks. He plays well KY plays well.
if Keon is any kin to Keion, I'd say Rex at least got the family correct. I agree that Keion Brooks has to play well for us to have a deep run. Do you disagree you non-spelling sob?

No what you mean is if Richie wasn’t a republicans he would get the same treatment.

Lol @ CBS crew laughing at how Rex looks lol. Total cringe moment. He’s trying way too hard.

I actually wish he would represent us well. We don’t have any within the National media. But I have a feeling he’s going to talk better about others because he wants a bigger audience and he knows his bosses and coworkers don’t like UK. He’ll be a sellout suckup.
His outfit is just horrid. Like you said those glasses, are trying way to hard.

He is a Villain because of some of his recent negative comments about Cal and UK and his past problems with drugs and stealing of which he got a pass when any normal person would be serving time in jail. He also has an arrogant attitude which belies his personality.
I've never heard him make a negative comment about Cal or UK, other than his comments about the culture while he was here. Please elaborate on his "recent negative comments about and Cal and UK." And, he didn't get a pass. He was sentenced, served his time, which included rehab. That's the way it goes when you steal headphones. You don't get the death penalty.

My disgust with Rex has nothing to do with his politics. It has everything to do with him being an obnoxious jerk.

I would bet he takes as much crap as anyone online. Civility is gone. Disappeared 6 years ago. Never coming back.
Social media will be the downfall of humanity. It's way too easy to spread hate, bully others and be a candidate for douchebag of the year all under a fake persona. You can say what you want to who you want which will just enrage, incense and incite hate in them. The next thing you know you have what happens on here when someone disagrees with your opinion and people are ready to meet up in the Shoney's parking lot and throw hands. Pre social media you only had to deal with personalities that you came in personal contact with. Now you have to deal with them from all over the world and some people have a problem with that.

I'm confused here. UCLA is legit. They are a 4 seed because they had several injuries throughout the season. Why are we acting like he picked UK to lose to St. Peters? Jesus Christ some of you act like you're 13-year-old school bullies on this board.

Riles loves UK. His job/career keep him from being here during the season. Never a negative about UK
There were days when I recall people saying he seemed to distance himself from Kentucky. I don't know him personally, just recall chatter about him never doing anything related to UK.

Rex and Ritchie are both iconic UK players from the 80s. They both made big mistakes and took their punishment. To despise one but not the other is pure politics. You can code it as Rex talks too much (big crime, huh?) but that translates to, “I wish that liberal would shut up.” Just own it. Quit trying to fool yourself, sure not fooling us.

Don’t believe everything you read. The public persona and out of the spotlight are different. I got to spend some time with him a few years ago. Very down to earth and his fondness of his Alma mater was apparent. Have positive thoughts about Riles especially if you, like I are part of the Rupp era.

Rex is a prime example how a select few want there basketball players. They want them to shut up and play ball. When they speak the envy will kick in and the fans will get mad that they make minimum wage and start hammering like humans are suppose to be perfect. It's really quite funny. I'm proud of Rex, from Owensboro, played at Ky and played 12 years in the NBA.

I just thought his tweet about Cal leaving RIGHT BEFORE the tip off of the 2014 championship game was a bad move. I think we should at least all be able to agree on that??

He was kind of busy during basketball seasons. I have never hear one thing he said bad about UK. You can either find the evidence of move on to your next false narrative

So glad the ties with this clown were severed.
Now if we can just get the moles and leaks Ksr uses out of the program and make them obsolete we will be on our way to where we need to be

It’s the whole being first to post something mentality. Poor timing yes. Affected the game no.

Rex stole from an Apple store. Not good. Richie stole from every tax payer in Kentucky. Even worst. Both paid their debt and the matters should be closed.

Rex is a microcosm of everything wrong with today's society. A social media "personality" who somehow weirdly rose to fame by stealing other people's content, being an internet bully, and posting all kinds of very biased political misinformation.

His fame is an indictment of social media and society as a whole
What a stupid take. He rose to fame in 1986 playing ball for KY. There was no internet. There was no social media. So he does it now just like you're doing it now. People don't read your stuff cause you're nobody. Who cares what he says? Its opinions.
